Doesn't the added cameras require HW4? That was greentheonly's find - extra camera connections on the HW4 board.

I would guess yes but really don’t know. Friend has a new Y no USS and his parking distance sensing doesn’t work. He may have hw4.
i believe tesla is using the older cars with sensors and cameras to calibrate the new no USS cameras to work like sensors. Just not ready for prime time yet.
Those are just bastard cars with no USS and HW3.
Based on Green's release, parts catalog update, Fremont production stop and retooling, Model S delivery delays, Model S inventory discounts - how do you not think HW4 is coming? Note that I have a 2022 Model S, so I should be rooting for no HW4.
Agree with this, so make that 3 who think HW4 is going to be on the February Model S builds that have the new rear badging etc
All this HW4 anticipation reminds me when I had ordered my MYP back in 2020. The hype was about heated steering wheel, enhanced headlights and mega cast components. Will it be or will it not be? People were decoding VIN numbers, delivery dates, the new metal-colored buttons of the steering wheels as clues to figure out who would be getting which updates. I had gotten neither one, but from the moment I received my car, none of that had mattered anymore. That acceleration was all I could think of every time I got into it.

I’ve got the 24th-17th as of yesterday. Ordered around the same time as you, hoping it has those updates.
Kind of impossible to add more cameras without new hw, as hw3 doesn’t have connectors for more cameras.

When somebody finally takes delivery of an MS with HW4, it would be nice to know if the new super duper front cameras can see a parking curb stop well enough to keep you from driving onto it.
Y literally has nothing to do with an S change. They've never been linked before.
