What’s the deal with the new door panels? Is there a big difference compared to the old ones? I just recently got F534 VIN

I think the dash trim goes to the door and the side panel is gray alcantara vs vegan leather. It’s probably another efficiency booster because if all the doors are made the same way, it reduces errors and raises productivity.

I stopped for dinner on the way home from delivery and was able to schedule the install from the Tesla app then. Zero cost for the installation. Tech was at my house for 15 minutes. He checked my tire pressure and topped off my washer fluid before he left. Super easy!

The wood trim continues from the dash around to the door and ends in a triangle type shape. Also the inside of the door pocket is now carpeted for a nicer touch. It’s definitely an aesthetic thing that’s personal choice. Some people love it while others prefer the old door design.

I don’t mind it. I’m just glad the trim lines up.

EDD is now 8/24 - 8/30. Not sure why it's so fast. Hopefully it's not a reject.
Question: when should I remove my FSD? Right after VIN assignment (now) or after scheduling a delivery?

Best to check with your SA. If it were me, I would remove before delivery.
