Ur trying to get best of everything. Not going to happen.
Let's say I get a VIN assigned on/after 12/1/2021. Does it make more sense to put the order on hold and release closer to 1/1 or just not take delivery as many times as necessary until it hits 1/1? I'd still be within the 30 days (so they can't cancel). I guess the real question does my place in the queue get reset if I don't take delivery?
From what I read on my contract (OD: 9/13) it states:
“You agree to schedule and take delivery of your Vehicle within three (3) days of this date. If you do not respond to our noficaon or are unable to take delivery within the specified period, your Vehicle may be made available for sale to other customers. For new vehicles, if you do not take delivery within thirty (30) days of our first aempt to nofy you, Tesla may cancel your order and keep your Order Fee.”
So Tesla dropped the ball again. I made my final payment, set up insurance and everything, all ready for Monday. But when I went on the account this morning, scheduled delivery day is now 11/8 instead of 11/1. I called and they said quality control didn’t pass. I didn’t get any emails, phone calls or any texts about the delay..
Welcome to Tesla world where the car is amazing, service - meh.
I’m guessing that whatever it was that did not meet their quality control standards was also something you were probably better off not seeing yourself, especially when you would be faced with the returning it to them anyway and demanding that they fix it. Let’s hope they come through on the 11/8 date!
Yeah, I’m hoping not to find any issue when they deliver it, and not having to go through all the hassle. Waited few months and might as well give it another week.
Seems only Pearl white is getting vin/delivery for early August order. Mine is black and ODD 08/10 and still nothing.

This is the million $ question. When I ordered it said delivery would be June. Loved to March then for a month held firm at January 22 to feb 11. Today it says December 2 to dec 31st. While on paper yay. I was really hoping to wait until March/April next year. Not for the tax credit but because it was by then I’d have the full cash for payment (not down payment but payment) I’ve reached out to my delivery specialist to find out but not getting an answer. Anyone know for sure or have verifiable from order agreement. (You know that part most of us just barely perused)
Same here ready for today, they called yesterday and said that its not here yet, but still on for Monday, th is morning they called again and ,, they said they had all the truckers called back to Fremont and should be tomorow now, sucks bc the cali rebate went from 1500 to 750, so lame especially when i locked it into the price months ago.

Someone at Tesla must be having fun on updating my EDD. Seems like they are throwing a dart on a calendar every day.
