Ha. Not sure that is quite the appropriate description for a Model 3, but I guess everything is relative!

In terms of repeatable performance and acceleration at high speeds the Taycan also beats Tesla's $100k+ high end performance car. I wouldn't even be surprised if it won 0-60, given that Porsche is usually conservative about their performance numbers (while Tesla likes to play marketing games such as excluding rollout on their P cars but not the standard ones). It’s funny to see that Porsche fans are defending so hard that a $120k sports car from Porsche performed better in a track related metric than a $50k family sedan from Tesla ?
Tesla doesn't have a $100k+ Model S. Performance (without other options, but including Ludicrous) is now $99,990.In terms of repeatable performance and acceleration at high speeds the Taycan also beats Tesla's $100k+ high end performance car. $10 less? Really? A fully optioned Model S P is $115k, BTW.Tesla doesn't have a $100k+ Model S. Performance (without other options, but including Ludicrous) is now $99,990.
AND, not to make you feel bad, that's in the USA. We get Teslas at the same price as you (plus tax) after currency conversion. But a Porsche is somehow magically DOUBLE the price you pay. Plus tax. And currency conversion. So the price delta to the Taycan is really crazy here down under...a Taycan Turbo S is about 400 000 with a few options. A fully-loaded Model S is about 180 000...Is anyone really surprised that a Porsche that costs 50% more, before options, outperforms a Model S? And as a former (and likely soon to be again) Porsche owner, the sticker price of a Porsche is easily 25% more than the base price due to the numerous options required to make the car enjoyable.

Also, here's the best comparison between the Taycan and Model S Raven yet, hitting the major pros and cons of both cars, and with an actual head-to-head drag race under the same conditions:

You must have seen a different video than I did. Besides, for the Vbox times it doesn't matter which driver got the jump on the other since they are independently measured in each car.Something seems odd. As mentioned somewhere. How can the Tesla's numbers be identical to their 2017 test? Video shows of the Model S having a jump on the Taycan, but the Taycan reels it in as it should. Video shows it, but their numbers seem off.
The 2.4s times are excluding the 1ft rollout time. If you add that back, you end up exactly at the kind of times around 2.6s that Topgear measured. Look at the 1/4 mile trap speed, that can't be fudged.3 seconds is quite a bit considering youtube has repeatedly gotten the Model S to go 2.4 ish. There's no need to sandbag. We know the Porsche is meant for corners.
Without launch control the Model S doesn't get anywhere near 2.6s, so yes, they did use it. And they also used Ludicrous mode (which you can see on the driver's screen).Who cares? A fully optioned Taycan Turbo S is $130k+ more...
Furthermore, they never said it was a Raven, and don't show the Model S using launch control (but do so for the Taycan). The "best comparison," indeed.
I am sure Porsche makes a lovely sports car if you drop $200k to get it optioned up. I mean if Porsche fans want a race that's the one to do, an old fashioned long distance race from a to z (NYC to LA is easy). Let the best systems win.

True.FAKE NEWS
True.
Everybody knows Tesla is faster than Taycan after 35 minutes wait for battery heating.
Yes we all know.Anyway, the plaid drivetrain configuration is superior to any motor/transmission configuration the Taycan will get destroyed.
Yes we all know.
I am sure Porsche quit EV development when they've seen the plaid drivetrain thing.
Yes, that's so genius. Just add an extra motor, who would have thought?Extra Motor= less added losses, less added weight, actually makes power and cost less.
