Not while driving. And those entertainment options are a separate app, not through web browser.Doesn't the browser have support for Hulu, Netflix, YouTube etc?
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.

But in a real national disaster or weather event with local power and utility outages, having the internet available isn't always a given.
Agreed. I'm sort of so-so on doing the upgrade, but they built a TON of good will with by offering it."tricking", are you serious?!

^ And there you go, sanity resumed.
Personally, the fact Tesla have provided a hardware update for a key component of the vehicle is beyond my expectations. The price is very reasonable considering the engineering cost to do this for a limited number of vehicles in the fleet that is growing at a rate where the quarterly sales are greater than the number of cars with MCU1.
Our ancient 2013 Tesla S85 upgraded with a new MCU2 would be like a new vehicle, there are precious few cars with 250 miles range, 90 kW fast charging and 2020 infotainment with 4g unlimited data available for $40K CAD (current car value on the market, plus $3K CAD for the MCU upgrade).
Maybe they are saving that to capture the focus. Then they can do a diving catch and save the day...The fact that the biggest complaint is loss of FM radio means Tesla did well on this one. My faith is restored.
Now, I hope my MCU1 lives until my car is eligible for the upgrade.
What I want to know is if your MCU1 fails, will they bump your priority or make you purchase another MCU1 when all it would have taken was another month to get an invite? I ask because my second MCU is showing classic signs of "about to fail".
I heard that they will offer MCU1 for a lower price ($700ish) and $2500 if you want MCU2. Doubt they would give MCU2 to everyone whose MCU1 dies for free, although some may get lucky.
Or maybe enjoy a few moment of silence and peace. Consider it a good thing... a mini-meditation.Almost every time I drive out of our underground parking it takes around 3-5 minutes before the car finds a cell signal and that's when FM/AM comes in handy. With the upgrade, the start of each drive away from home will be a little quiet. Might have to invest a little time and effort and make up a USB with our favourites.
Scheduled the appointment and will get the MCU2 installed on my March 2018 built P100D X w/ FSD.
If you don’t have FSD your timeline has changed to “coming soon”.I don't have FSD but I am looking forward to upgrade my AP 2.5 car to MCU 2. Hopefully they will stay true by April timeline. Fingers crossed.
