I am sorry I am actually the one that bought the car. I am so happy as I think it was a great deal! Funny enough, I was actually considering pulling the trigger on the Green S85 that also popped up today for ~$55K. Was talking to my wife about it and then this popped up as I hit F5. Needless to say, I bought the car within a minute. I'm really surprised you even saw the car because I must have bought it within 5 minutes of being posted.

Thank you so so much for all of the people on this thread and in this forum. Especially to Hank and his consolidator - seriously incredible work that helped me figure out exactly what price range I wanted to be in.

I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! I'm hoping the car is in excellent condition and I'm scared I might miss some things to check for or it is really worn out.
Congrats on getting a great deal on a Tesla. What year ? How many miles ?
The service center here made my 2012 look like new again. I would bet the store in Houston does the same.

The consolidator says that one has tan textile, but Tesla's listing says tan leather. Bug?

It's leather.. I sorted out all the options codes a few days ago, and that one was mis-coded as Textile.

Another S60 was just added and sold right away, $47.4k. Don't think it got picked up by the consolidator.

No, that one got by the CPOC. That may change in the future.

ugh....this one on consolidator said $76.2K!....clicking on link brings it to $82.9K....consolidator probably caught the old price before they fixed the mistake?....dang, i so would've jumped on this one!

I don't think this car you're talking about is in the CPOC. I think it's a different car altogether. If TM changes the price, the CPOC picks that up each hour. But if the price changes, and it's sold within the same hour, no, the new price won't be picked up. Like I said, I'm working on fixing that in some fashion in V2. Should be ready in about a week.

Hi Guys, So today I went to Fremont to take a look at the 2013 P85 CPO I had put a deposit on, it took almost 3 weeks to get it over here. Overall the car is in great shape (still needs a detail), but my main concern is the rust on the rotor, and also the wheels look like they were repainted seem like they are lighter and less gloss than the original. I asked my delivery specialist if they can fix/ replace the rotors and wheels, he said he will have to get back to me. Take a look and what do you guys think. Anyone have similar issues?

I remember reading about someone getting rusty rotors replaced. Having said that, rotors are cast iron. They rust. Not a big deal (at least from a safety/performance standpoint).

I check the website ALOT. My wife thinks I'm completely nuts. I would have bought this one as well as the $49.xk S85 that went last Friday in a few minutes, if it hadn't been for her reminding me that we have a new baby coming next week. You didn't give me much time to think about it.

Congrats on the car! For those keeping score at home, here was a screen shot of the listing.

True. But i dont need a tesla right now. Since it is a pretty penny to buy the tesla even the cpo, i am waiting for the s85d cpo.

Nobody "needs" a Tesla. We all could have been perfectly happy with a Prius. It's just that we want one, and now that I own one, I can tell you, I prefer the tesla in the garage, than some number on a bank website. Of course I'm not suggesting anyone to be financially irresponsible, but if you can afford it, you should get it. You clearly want one, or you wouldn't be trolling these forums as much as I do :)

Yes that's normal. Everybody's wives think the same.

Speak for yourself. I'd be one unhappy camper in a Prius. :)

but my main concern is the rust on the rotor, and also the wheels ..

Yes that's pretty normal too.
Rust on rotor is - every single car out there that has not been driven for 2 weeks. Drive if for a couple of days and the rust will rub off.

I'd be happy with a Prius. But damn I would howl like a dog everytime I saw a Tesla whizz by. I picked mine yesterday, and I'm yapping with joy. :) looking for excuses to drive literally. The car is awesome.

It is interesting that the CPO consolidator may not pick up a car that comes up one hour and is sold the same hour. Hank, would that be correct? The only way to gather it up is scan more often (every 15 min?) If sold within that window, same thing - could be missed. That may mean that more CPO have been sold than shown on the consolidator because their original listing was never seen to later be withdrawn as sold.

I'm so sorry for being the one that took this from you. If it helps, I am the same. I probably check the site at least 200 times a day. It's kind of sad actually. I can afford the Tesla, but it's the deal hunter in me that makes me not want to overpay. I didn't even see the S85 that went for 49K and I would've loved to take an 85 over a 60 for a few thousand more if the miles were okay and the options were good.

In any case, thanks for the screenshot!! In my rush to buy, I actually didn't take one and now I'm glad I have it in case there are any discrepancies.

I'm certain that more CPO's have sold and not registered by Hank's website, but besides people chiming in that they saw it or purchased...nobody will ever know. I've seen two of them in the past week.

You're welcome, glad it is useful. For me, purchasing a Tesla will be a real stretch for my budget....but I really, really want one.

Rusted rotors are perfectly normal. Those actually look less rusted than usual (I.e. newer). Noting at all to worry about.
I remember reading about someone getting rusty rotors replaced. Having said that, rotors are cast iron. They rust. Not a big deal (at least from a safety/performance standpoint).
Mine were delivered with MUCH more rust than that on all four. Tesla said they will NOT clean them up. They did, however, "goodwill" a test of my brakes and noted on my service receipt that the rust is only cosmetic and the brakes are fully functional. I plan to get them clean up at some point soon. Drucifer put me in touch with a great company to paint my calipers red and I will probably have them clean the rotors while they are working on the calipers. However, that won't happen until the August or so timeframe.

Blue Light Special eat your heart out. Much faster crowd, here at Tmart ;)

Stocks, bonds, Teslas, ladies underwear. We're all the same.

Yes, absolutely true. But as I mentioned earlier, I'm busily working on a fix for that. Also a fix for "checking the website 200 times a day". :)

It's been fun working on the CPOC V2 and making it a lot better than it is now. You'll just have to wait about a week until it's done. Sorry. Until then, V1 will have to do for you OCD types (e.g. all of us).

P85 for under $60k.
Oddly enough, the features list shows blank. I wonder what the CPOC will pick up for options.

I think you should implement a "reverse auction" style notification system. Users who pay a higher subscription fee get their notifications before others.

Or even better, "if you see a car with features x, y, and z, for less than $X, click reserve for me and submit my credit card # automatically". Of course, then your run into all the PCI compliance fun...
