Not only is the count at 324 per Supercharger.Info, 200 of those or over 60% have been installed in the last 6 months, and over 120 or over 36% have been installed in the last 3 months!

The install rate since Nov 1 is over 1.5 Supercharger Sites opening per calendar day!!!

Although the rate of new Supercharger sites has slowed somewhat from the end of last year there has still been 18 openings in 21 days so far in 2015. Pretty good!

I have tried to count the same way as Tesla. We both count north/south pairs as one. There are a couple (two that I know of) service center superchargers that Tesla doesn't count and doesn't list on their Find Us page however. I don't know why. In addition Tesla doesn't update the count as quickly as they update their FindUs page, so it is often behind for a few days. And at times in the past their count has been wrong (I think it may be a manually updated count whereas the supercharge.info counts come from querying open sites in the database).

In other news, sites added this week don't seem to have the number of stalls listed on their web pages:

Find Us | Tesla Motors
Find Us | Tesla Motors
Find Us | Tesla Motors
Find Us | Tesla Motors
Find Us | Tesla Motors

Contrast this with a slightly older site:

Find Us | Tesla Motors

Lists "6" as the number of stalls available.

Actually - supercharge.info and the Tesla motors pages have all the same sites listed
I should clarify. The official Tesla Baidu map site updates way before the teslamotors.com map.
The Chinese site now lists 65 superchargers in Asia.

Here is a from the Tianjin supercharger picture (autohome):

Edit: The 3 superchargers on the China Baidu map missing on supercharge.info are:
Beijing north
Tianjin
Nanjing
(Kunming should also be open soon)

Cool. Do you have a link to this map? And is it accessible to people that do not read Chinese? If not accessible without ability to read Chinese, - are you able to harvest the needed info and post here or PM me so we can get the supercharge.info map updated?

Open this link in google chrome: 超级充电站 | Tesla Motors
Sometimes unresponsive due to the Chinese Firewall. Try again later if that's the case.
Use the integrated translator with right click-> "Translate to ..." (using translate.google.com manually doesn't work with the map)
It should show the latest number of superchargers at the top, a zoomable baidu map in the middle and a list of Chinese superchargers below.
Clicking on the red pins or locations below zooms the baidu map to this point, and google translate should translate the address.
Example1:

Example2:

Owner reports (which sometimes report construction/coming soon) can be found at the Autohome forum board:
¡¾Í¼¡¿MODEL SÂÛ̳_MODEL S³µÓÑ»á_Æû³µÖ®¼Ò
(sometimes translated to 'super-punch', and there are regular threads by users 'nogas' and 'xieguoren')

Are you able to harvest the needed info and post here or PM me so we can get the supercharge.info map updated?
I've written emails to supercharge.info with adress and all that in the past, but it was ignored without response.
(My Chinese is very limited, so I can't do it without the help of online translation)

We all owe @BlueShift a huge "thank you" for the great work in building and maintaining supercharger.info. It's a vastly more useful resource than Tesla's own website.

I'd just like to point out that the correct URL for the site is supercharge.info, without the 'r' on the end. The site with the "r" on the end is a site that appears to be trying to gather clicks, etc., and redirects to other sites.

Supercharger - Redondo Beach

This showed up on the California forum, but I thought there would be some interest here as well. Tesla seems to be adjusting their strategy of installing SCs mostly in non-urban areas to facilitate long-distance travel. There are now three SCs in West Los Angeles within 9 miles of each other (Hawthorne, Culver City and Redondo). The 2015 and 2016 maps show a substantial number of planned superchargers in the heart of cities across California (San Diego, Sacramento, Santa Barbara, etc.) as well as other states (Seattle, WA).

It will be interesting to see if they extend this strategy nationwide, or if it's a reaction to their uniquely high sales in urban California.

Update including December 27th, 2014:

North America
2012: 0 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 9
2013: 0 + 2 + 11 + 28 = 41
2014: 32 + 16 + 19 + 33 = 100 (including El Centro, CA)
Total: 9 + 41 + 100 = 150

Europe
2013: 0 + 0 + 6 + 8 = 14
2014: 0 + 10 + 46 + 54 = 110
Total: 14 + 110 = 124

Asia Pacific (Currently: China, Japan, Australia)
2014: 0 + 3 + 16 + 32 = 51

Global total: 150 + 124 + 51 = 325

2014 total so far: 100 + 110 + 51 = 261

Q1 2014 total: 32 + 0 + 0 = 32
Q2 2014 total: 16 + 10 + 3 = 29
Q3 2014 total: 19 + 46 + 16 = 81
Q4 2014 so far: 33 + 54 + 32 = 119

First half of 2014: 32 + 29 = 61
Second half of 2014 (so far a total of 180 days): 81 + 119 = 200

Remaining days in second half of 2014: 4

200 new live Supercharger stations in 180 days (in second half of 2014), that's even more than 1 new live Supercharger station per day, that's extraordinary!!!

"About 1 new live Supercharger station per day"
That looks like the going average these days.
And that's extraordinary progress.
