Yes you may not get a VIN text but if you find it in source code it means your Tesla is on it's way and delivery will be about a month later. Mr Miserable's Shipping thread is really useful to identify which ship it's on and how it's progressing -much better than contacting CS who give random answers as proved on here when one chap rang three times in one day with the same question and got 3 different answers

I found my VIN 2 and a half weeks ago and still haven't heard anything from Tesla about a collection date , when i asked on live chat i was told they were " calculating the delivery date" ( this was last week)
I ordered on 2nd August :-(

I got the same this afternoon after I discovered the VIN in source code. Wonder what this means. Exciting times

SR+ white with black interior, ordered 9th September and got my VIN today!

This gives me hope that mine has been assigned but I can't check the source code because it's through a lease company... Did you get it by text?v
