- I have heard that Tesla negotiate on lease / planning consent / etc. on multiple sites and then whichever one comes good first gets constructed.I was at Fleet last week and saw the electricity company there with several vans (as well as a TMX with an executive type), so perhaps something is finally happening?? Cross fingers!

Sadly no way of knowing (that I know of), best we get is that someone swings by the site, takes pretty photographs of the state of unloading / installation of the packing crates and then when its all wired up and the shrink-wrap removed that it then opens ... but even then there is sometimes a delay.
Of the sites that have not, yet, opened some of them have been "In construction" for months and months. In other cases they open in a few weeks ...

If its on the car StaNav its open, if not assume not.
I am sure you know, but in case not: on the SatNav you can (zoom in if necessary and) click on a Supercharger "icon" and it will offer "navigate there"

Anyone heard any news on Crawley/Gatwick? Tesla site says "target opening by end of 2017". I'm renting a Model S from the 28th and this site might be useful to me... fingers crossed!
The current 6 are moving directly across from where they currently are, joining the 10 (I think) new ones that have built there.
When it’s going open is another million dollar question.

Interesting.. supercharge.info only has the single 6 stall site marked (opened 2015) and no other sites. Should there be another dot/cone added?
Not sure what (if anything) Supercharge Info does about "expansion" ... not sure I've ever seen that logged
