The open boot shortcut doesn’t seem to be working for me, either. However, I’ve tried various other shortcuts and they seem to be working well. I’ve been using Watch App for Tesla until now, but I’ll see how the native Tesla shortcuts work as I’d prefer to use native features.Well, the good or bad news is that the boot doesn’t open on cars without electric openers. The Siri commands were very limited. They now show up in the Shortcuts app and can do all sorts with them, including making up your own shortcuts. You’ve been able to use Siri commands for years unless they’ve massively extended the number of commands.
Oh ok, I remember asking Siri charge state and unlocking the car a few years back and it worked but didn’t venture much further. The Siri commands were very limited. They now show up in the Shortcuts app and can do all sorts with them, including making up your own shortcuts.
Shame they didn’t include ‘unlock charge port! The Siri commands were very limited. They now show up in the Shortcuts app and can do all sorts with them, including making up your own shortcuts.
Sure they did! Create a new shortcut using the “Stop charge” command and call it Unlock charge port. This is exactly what I’ve done and can confirm it works.Shame they didn’t include ‘unlock charge port!
Any idea if there’s something similar for remote start/keyless start shortcut? Cause that too isn’t included.Sure they did! Create a new shortcut using the “Stop charge” command and call it Unlock charge port. This is exactly what I’ve done and can confirm it works.
I set that up and charging stops but the charge port fails to unlock. Is there something I’m missing?Sure they did! Create a new shortcut using the “Stop charge” command and call it Unlock charge port. This is exactly what I’ve done and can confirm it works.
How does it handle playback, does it still cutout during playback?Just notice that the sentry and dash cam viewer works better. You can now touch the screen just before the red dot and it immediately jumps to that place!
Curious. I tried it and it stopped the charge and unlocked the port. Did you have a key nearby at the time?I set that up and charging stops but the charge port fails to unlock. Is there something I’m missing?
Only my phone (as a key). Car was awake. I started a charge, left it going for 30 seconds and then used the new unlock C/P command. Charge stopped but that’s all.Curious. I tried it and it stopped the charge and unlocked the port. Did you have a key nearby at the time?
I tested this when using a CCS charger. Maybe it’s different with type 2? I shall test this when I’m back home, tomorrow.Only my phone (as a key). Car was awake. I started a charge, left it going for 30 seconds and then used the new unlock C/P command. Charge stopped but that’s all.
tried it again yesterday after a charge complete. Still no dice. Most odd
I also get the same behaviour as this on my home charger.I set that up and charging stops but the charge port fails to unlock. Is there something I’m missing?
...but 3rd party apps like Tesla Remote and Stats have been offering Siri voice commands for years - even before iOS had a Shortcuts app. Happy to see the OEM app doing the same now - but will only with very few commands available compared to to the othersThe Siri commands were very limited.
