Noticed earlier you said something about having an "earlier" VIN? Mine is 172XXX...any idea if I'm good?
So can those of us who are eligible for this upgrade have it done by itself, or do we have to make up some other reason to bring our cars to the SC? My 75D was delivered in late June and I don’t have a legit reason (knock on wood) to take it in until the annual service next summer. Those 8 months would be torture knowing it could be done, haha.
I am having a third key fob synced. Um, so when my father visits he doesn’t have to push the button for his profile. Yeah, it’s super urgent.

I had my annual service done Thursday (2017 MS 60D, 18,000 miles)...for some reason they kept the car overnight. I just called & they did not automatically do this to my car, I’ll need to make another appointment and bring it in. I was told I needed to request it, which is why is wasn’t done.
I believe pfremm has an AWD D, so no forklift involved. Also the hardware in question is likely the fuse and outside the battery pack. I believe the AWD and RWD both use the same (normally BTX5) batteries.
I have amazing news. I stopped by my SC today to ask about uncorking my 75D (Dec 2016). Three people had no idea and a fourth person finally said “you’re fast”.

I just went to the Burbank service center, and an employee dismissed me by saying that any upgrades will show up under MyTesla to purchase, and they can't do anything at this time. I showed him this thread and the one on Reddit, and he said he heard about the upgrade. It didn't seem like it. I think he wanted to get rid of people as the place was really busy.

They won’t tell you based on model. They need your vin and will search a database.
Hopefully Monday. My service center is closed today. I don't think the sales office can do it.
