So your thinking that they are still manufacturing 90 packs with the known bad silicon anode cells? I don't suppose that owner got a pic of the battery label?
Have you noticed any of the degradation that other 90 owners have experienced?I do actually

when a battery is replaced, what is the warranty on new replacement?
Wait, what?I do not believe 100 packs are legal in pre-facelift cars due to crash test and suspension requirements. And if Tesla desides to SW-limit 100’s we have a weight disadvantage. Anyway, I hope to get a P100D with plus suspension.
Also if I am not mistaken that is the v3 pack right? Supposedly doesn't have the degradation or power issues that v1/2 had.I do actually

That is good to hear. I would really like to hear from just one P85 owner that had a battery replaced recently... The one person that has responded so far has been waiting for a battery for a year now..if it is any consolation, my new p90d pack i recived last june has only lost 2 miles. way better than my original 90 pack that lost like... 10 miles in a few months.
I have only supercharged with the new pack a couple times and unfortunately it was at a crowded site both times. Performance was less than impressive. I had noticed my 85 pack slowing down in the past year before it went bad but recorded metrics on it.Have you noticed a difference in your supercharging behavior since getting the new 90 pack?

That is true, I guess after a bit here I just kind of assumed the 85 doesn't exist anymore but coming from an A rev 85 pack the newer 85 or a 90 would be a step up.It does look like a V3 pack, indeed.
However, the V3 packs aren't any better for degradation than the V1/V2 packs and may actually be worse (if you use the extra power available on a regular basis). If you are putting a V3 90 pack in a P85, then it doesn't really matter - but it will be inferior to the 85 pack as far as degradation goes as well as SC throttling compared to an 85.
If I had my druthers, I'd take an 85 pack over a 90 pack any day.
It is not known the exact chemistry of the 100 cells. However they seem to follow the degradation curve of the 85s, not the accelerated curve of the 90s.is it known that the 100 packs do not use the silicone anodes?
When you get a new battery replaced does the warranty start 8yr/ unlimited mileage at 1/23/18?
Or continue from 2012?
