All Tesla Models will get Range/Power increase (not just SR+) of 5%

I've never had my 3 in chill and never will. Full sports mode is the way to go and this is how I drove my last 6 BMW's.

Sure, there are plenty of other factors as well. The acceleration time isn't linear to power, but we should see an improvement by at least a tenth I bet. I have seen some videos where the P3D gets sub 3.2 already, so 3.0x should be possible.

When I get back from the gym I can run the math to get a more accurate estimate.

About 120 km of my 140ish km daily commute is 6 to 12 lane highway with little traffic and cops on patrol.. so I live in AP. Standard can get me in a lot of trouble

The news is Elon specifically confirmed the 5% Model 3 and 3% S/X increase as well as one pedal driving enhancements via OTA in a few weeks during the phone call during the meeting today.

The 5/3 percent increases were power, not range.

We don’t even know the full details of how they’re implementing the 5% additional. Heck, we don’t even know for sure if it’s 5% increase in Tq or HP, or both. 5% more Tq will likely help shave about 0.1s on the 0-60 at best. 5% more HP will likely only make a difference on the trap. Either way, there will be a bigger effect in your head than on the butt.

This is the second time they've done this (for the 3 anyway) so I expect some folks assume it'll be similar to the first time... (which'd be great for AWD owners as they got nearer 8%)

Ya I heard it too. Fantastic! Wonder if the top speed will increase or maybe the 0-100kph will be faster. Possibly both? Exciting news especially Model 3 owners.

My money is on a range improvement... hey, it’s free, so I’ll be happy either way!
