Hi everyone, I take delivery of a Late 2014 S60 w/ AP1 CPO in a week or two. I have a question about supercharging. My OA found this car before it was listed, so I couldn't see the ev-cpo options sheet or info on tesla.com. When placing my deposit, I asked my OA if it had free supercharging, and he said that it did. The reservation for the CPO was placed. When linked to my account, manage the car, and click on 'view spec' it does NOT list free supercharging as an option. I have seen other spec sheets for CPO pre delivery that clearly show 'Free Supercharging' under a CHARGING header.

I emailed my OA, and asked him point blank if it has free supercharging, so I had it in writing. He replied to my email and said: "Confirmed, your Model S will come with free and unlimited Supercharging". I'm still not convinced that this car has free supercharging. When the car arrives and I'm going over it, is there any way to confirm that it has free supercharging? Or do I need to has the delivery specialist or a tech to look it up?

Not to jump too far ahead, but what if it doesn't have Free Supercharging on the car? I have it in very clear writing that it does, can money be taken off the purchase price? Can they add free supercharging if I press it? I'm just wondering what I can do if it turns out that it doesn't have it.

    Thanks for any advice!

Any 2014 model has free Supercharging BUT it was an option on a base S60. So, yes, make sure that the Supercharging option was paid for the CPO S60.

Look for option code "SC01" (Supercharger Enabled).

In your MVPA pdf and it should have a line saying "Supercharger Enabled"

Even if it doesn't have it enabled, you were told it does and they can flip that switch remotely in a second. Just call your guy and tell him what you told us and that you want double confirmation due to the discrepancy of the build sheet. You can also bring this up at the delivery, they'll make sure it's on the car as long as you write it on the delivery sheet for sure - this is also where you enter any gripes you want fixed (they happen even on new cars, no big deal if a paint chip needs touching up or whatever, just make sure they have it noted and they'll fix it.

I've never seen it personally, but people have also mentioned that cars that lack free supercharging have a mention of this on the charging window when you check in in the car itself.

Yes, there is a dollar amount listed on the charging screen if it doesn’t have free supercharging and I think it shows the kWH credits remaining. The Enterprise Model S’s Tesla has been giving as loaners in my area don’t have free supercharging. (I shudder to think about what extra fees Enterprise will impose on anyone who supercharges one of their cars)

I also have had this question, since there are many CPOs for sale on the website that don’t explicitly list Free SC. Let’s face it, Tesla’s website is lacking in the area of CPOs, which is why two outside websites have popped up to fill the gap (ev-cpo.com and teslainventory.com). I was told that all CPOs have free SC enabled and if for some reason they didn’t it would be turned on prior to delivery. Sounds like you already got this in writing, but like they said just bring it up at time of delivery.

thegooch49, if you don’t mind, how much did you pay for that CPO. I am looking for the same thing in the next few months.

I also believe this to be true. There are now so few cars without free SC activated, it would be a shocker for a buyer now to get one of those. So I do suspect (on nothing other than logic) that yes, at least until Jan 31, 2018, Tesla will enable FUSC on any CPO sold that isn't already activated.

    Good luck in your search!!

I bought a new program car with a referral and was told it had free supercharging. I still see the credit remaining on the manage my tesla page.

My DS and the manager were I picked up the car both assured me i have free SC so i will give it another week or so to see if it changes

I did a custom order, with a referral code AFTER the $1000 discount went away. I should still get free supercharging, but could find no where on my spec sheet where it said free supercharging. I contacted my Owner Advisor and Delivery Specialist and they both said, "Yes, I see you have free supercharging. It was a bit disconcerting until it finally showed up one day on my spec sheet. I'm not sure what magic made it happen, but I was relieved to see it show up.

I don't mind at all. I've reserved a December 2014 S60. Silver, body color roof, AP1, and zero options. It has 26,000 miles on it w/ the 4-year 50K warranty, and I paid $47,400. I had a hard budget limit of $50K, and my only 'must have' was AP1. I realistically realized that this would mean a super high mile car w/ options, or a low mile car w/ zero options. The latter is what I found. I would have gladly paid more for an 85, but inventory is about zero right now, so I took what I could get. Historical data shows that this is the cheapest CPO ever sold w/ AP1 AND the 4-year warranty, so I'm super happy with that (Source: ev-cpo).

My OA said "all CPO cars come w/ free supercharging", and I had him put that in writing for me, so I can hold them to it. My OA also quoted me $1,000 delivery fee (LA to Portland). I also thought this was odd, I've always seen $2,000 standard on all deliveries outside of the local SC. I also have this in writing. I'm on week 5 of waiting for my car, and am starting to get a little impatient. I have heard next to nothing from anyone at Tesla.

Thanks for all the info. That is exactly what I am looking for. When you say zero options, it must have the tech package. I almost never see any without it. I hope you get it soon and love it.

I had this 2014 AP1 sold while I was trying to buy it from my OA. It was under $45k, more miles than yours, but had the full 4 year CPO warranty. It never hit EV-CPO because it was sold before it was listed on Tesla’s website.

Woah, that car that you missed looked like an insanely good deal! Pano roof, and sound package for $45K. WOW. Awesome deal. Yes, mine comes with Tech Package and Autopilot 1, but that's about it. I'm totally fine with it, AP1 rules them all. My commute is a painful 50 minutes each way in stop and go, and I know that it will ease the pain a bit!

Yeah, OA said it was one of the first AP and it was a showroom car for the first part of it’s life. That is was it had AP at such a low VIN. I keep kicking myself that I didn’t tell him to reserve it right away. I talked about it for 5 minutes and missed it.
