P is the newest performance DU. Q is for non-P cars.
Had mine replaced last week, same part number. They also did the side motor mount upgrade at the time.my DU got replaced today... apparently not the newest version: ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS (1025598-00-P)
It had the same as yours for my replacement last November, ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS (1025598-00-P). I think ours was a re-manufactured unit "RMN". The other part is probably a new part. When my P85 had a DU replacement in January (just over a month ago), this was the part number:
ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLSX,SPORT,CMC,HS 1 (1025598-00-P)
Your part designation is different:
ASY,P-TRAIN,SPORT,MECH,COMPLETE 1 (1002633-01-R)
Is this a newer DU revision, perhaps?
That makes sense, thanks. It had the same as yours for my replacement last November, ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS (1025598-00-P). I think ours was a re-manufactured unit "RMN". The other part is probably a new part.
My 2013 P85 is due for a DU replacement by the end of this month. Currently has a 1002633-01-H (replaced in 2014). From what I could find in TMC, the most recent sport/performance/large DU revision is "R".
Do you know of any more recent? The SC claims to have one already in stock and I want to be sure it's a recent revision and not one they had in stock for a couple of years.
Thanks
ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS(1025598-00-T)
Looks like I just got a “T”
I've had my rear drive unit replaced twice in my Model S P100D
First time (6/20/2017) part # was
ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS
(1025598-00-P)
Second time (1/23/2020) part # was
ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS
(1025598-00-T)
I get the car back tomorrow. I've never had noise from these units. Hopefully the new unit doesn't either.
So many part numbers out there so hard to say, but a “new” DU is never a bad thing. For reference, when my rear DU was replaced (P85D), the part number was 1002633-01-R. Not remanufactured as description did not include “RMN”.Mine was replaced last week: ASY,P-TRAIN,RMN,MDLS,SPORT,CMC,HS(1025598-00-T).
Went in monday morning, got it back wednesday afternoon @ Tesla Service Rotterdam.
Luckily still under warranty; it is a P85+ of september '13. Still some 1,5 years of warranty to go.
I suspect it is a 'refurbished' unit (RMN?), so I won't get the 'new' acceleration right?
The P85+ does 0-100 (km/h) in 4.4 seconds. The P85D starting from nov 2014 does it in 3.3 seconds and now The P110DL does it in 2.6 seconds. Wouldn't it be nice if you got a 'free upgrade' while the unit is swapped¿!
