So I’ve been waiting, hoping to hear anything the last few weeks, but as of yet nothing. I was going to post once I had something new to share from what everyone else has already posted, but I figured the more data points the better.

Was going to order the week of Oct 15th LR RWD because estimated delivery was 4 weeks. Didn’t bother ordering 10/15 since wasn’t concerned about the guarantee and the OA were saying people were being contacted 2 days after ordering the LR RWD.
Then on Thursday 10/18, Elon tweets about the LEMR. I hem and and haw and do some quick math to realize $4,000 is worth giving up 50 miles of range. Less of a monthly payment, less replacement cost for auto insurance, etc. Living in Fort Worth, we only go to Houston (280 miles) or Oklahoma City (230 miles) to visit family. Having 310 gets me there, but neither destination has the Nema 6-50 or 14-50/30 set-up so I assume I would have to visit a super charger eventually. Both destinations have at least 2 on route...
Thus I placed the following order:
Fort Worth, TX
MR RWD
10/18/18 6PM PST
Midnight Silver
Black Interior
18 inch wheels
EAP
$2500 deposit
Used my cousins referral for $100 charging credit (later hear I’ll get the 6 months too)
Priced $51,500
Received email immediately with a pdf attachment with total price.
Logged in to iOS app and saw referral code and videos, nothing else this whole time.
Uploaded drivers licenses, current insurance card, selected trade in option.
My OA who I did a test drive with sent me an email next day.
And then crickets.
I went to Tesla store and spoke to OA and said I may want to go to LR RWD because that was an option for the next few days.
Didn’t want to save $4,000 to then lose out on $3,750 of tax credit!
OA said 6-10 weeks puts me at Christmas at worst and to not worry.
I ran the trade in calculator for my car and it was priced at $2,000, so private party sale or Carmax made more sense than delaying my delivery or worrying about saving $120 on sales taxes. (Figured I could net more when taking time to sell)
Went in to change to no trade in. Now have 3 check marks.
I took my OA’s advise and didn’t switch to LR when I still had a chance.
What he and I didn’t account for, even though I should be one of the first 5000 to order the car, was that there were prior day 1 reservation holders that moved back to the front of the line! (Which honestly they should have priority) I figured that I was at least in first batch because someone posted a screen shot with their reservation number and mine was only 300 behind and ordered about an hour before me.
Anyway, haven’t heard a peep until on 10/30/18, I get a “we have received your order modification email.” I didn’t modify anything (just the trade in) and no one has figured out what that was all about. Asked OA and called customer service. They don’t know.
Still more crickets.
I go back in to the store and tell the OA that I want a car prior to end of year and that I want to be in a reservation for the black on black demo LR RWD they have for test drives or the RED LR RWD with 19 inch wheels. He said that he could do that. Not sure if he means it though. I hope so.
Anyway I’m tired of answering every strange number on my cell hoping a Tesla DA is calling... I even answered an 877-373 number yesterday afternoon. He says he is from Tesla and sees my order, etc... and I’m thinking here we go! But he wanted to give me a solar quote! .
Still waiting and hoping to hear something soon. Sorry for the long post, but it helps me get it out of my system...
