The EPA range listed of 405 miles does not include testing with the 21" wheels... the base 19" wheels are used for the test.

No, the EPA rating usually does not reflect optional wheels. So this is probably the range with the 19s. Still nice to have it over 400 for Plaid.

Okay, but that may be "old" info; the guys at the event are saying the Tesla Execs are actually telling them that the new refresh MS gets more max battery range than previously advertised. Let's wait a little and see.

This isn't a fair comparison because those purchase agreements were for a car that was no longer produced.
