Yup it’s making me nervous lol
Yeah, now I'm wondering if I should debadge mine, lol. 🤔 😜 I'll probably just leave it and have the badge blacked out but this definitely makes me think twice; I don't mind some spirited driving now and then but I don't want to be challenged everyday...not that I see that many Lambos, McLarens, Ferrari's, Porsche 911T-S, GT-Rs, MB AMG-GTs, BMW M5's, etc on a daily basis although they're all over S FL.

I will just drop this from the manual. You might have to enable some services (location) specifically that you have disabled.

Authenticated Phone
Using your phone as a key is a convenient way to access your Model S. As you approach, your phone's Bluetooth signal is detected and doors unlock when you press a door handle. Likewise, when you exit and walk away with the phone key, doors automatically lock (provided the Walk-Away Door Lock feature is turned on (see Walk-Away Door Lock on page 15).
Before you can use a phone to access
Model S, follow these steps to authenticate it:
1. Download the Tesla mobile app to your phone.
2. Log into the Tesla mobile app using your Tesla Account user name and password.
NOTE: You must remain logged in to your Tesla Account to use your phone to access Model S.
3. Ensure that your phone's Bluetooth settings are turned on.
You must have your phone's Bluetooth setting turned on AND you must also ensure that Bluetooth is turned on within your phone's global settings for the Tesla mobile app. For example, on your phone, navigate to Settings, choose the Tesla mobile app, and ensure the Bluetooth setting is enabled.
NOTE: Model S communicates with your phone using Bluetooth. To authenticate your phone to use it as a key, the phone must be powered on and Bluetooth must be enabled. Keep in mind that your phone must have enough battery power to run Bluetooth and that many phones disable Bluetooth when the battery is low.
4. Ensure location access is enabled by viewing the mobile app in your phone's settings and selecting Location > Always. For the best experience, keep the mobile app running in the background.
5. Ensure that Allow Mobile Access is enabled (Controls > Safety > Allow Mobile Access).
6. In the Tesla mobile app, touch PHONE KEY then touch START to search for your Model S.
When your Model S is detected, the mobile app asks you to tap your key card.
7. Tap the key card against the Model S card reader on the door pillar or wireless phone charger (see Key Card on page 10).
When Model S detects your key card, the mobile app confirms that your phone key has been successfully authenticated. Touch DONE.

You ordered a month ago and are complaining that people with higher margin cars are going in front of you???

YOU DON'T SAY!!!!!

All of us who ordered LR MONTHS before you are watching as everyone else gets their high margins car before EOQ.

I'm not saying you don't have reasons to be frustrated, but how about a little perspective for those who are even worse off?
Well well....didn't take long for someone to fall for it 🙄
How about actually READING my full comment before posting your immature response. So what if I ordered a month ago when there are people who ordered OVER THE WEEKEND AND ALREADY HAVE THEIR CAR!!!
SO WHAT'S YOUR POINT?

Of course, I know I have a reason to complain. Why shouldn't I complain and why should anybody not complain? I don't understand what do you or people like you get out of blindly supporting whatever sick stunt Tesla pulls on its long time customers. Like what do you get in return? Is it something like, "Thank you for successfully defended Tesla's honor on the forums. Your next set of Arachnids is on us."

I do feel for people who ordered before me and are sitting patiently and I do mention that in my comment. May all our orders rest in peace as the SC won't be getting anymore cars until September or so they say 😒

I have been out in the garage with it plugged in charging w/AC, watching netflix, and playing with all the settings.

Delivery had issues but the SC pushed it through and it took longer than normal. Tired so not posting much today.

1) Car is amazing
2) LR was right choice for me.
3) Smooth and quiet - will be eerie with the ANC
4) No Sirius yet
5) Turn signal farts made my wife realize how childish I really am
6) Yoke is a nothingburger. Suck it up. It is easy to acclimate and a big non-issue. Did I mention to use it and get used to it.
7) 21's were another non issue. Smooth, quiet and soaked up bumps/holes just fine with suspension on comfort. Will switch to A/S when available,
8) Fit and finish is on par with other $100k vehicles. A couple things for them to fix after EOQ rush
9) SC detailed it before I picker it up and had microfiber on the walk around and wiped off any water drops and also fingerprints from door handles. All up to date. SC did a great job.
10) No phone as key card on S
11) Car is amazing
12) My wall charger has not stopped giggling since I plugged it in. at 70% charge, it is getting 38mi/hr charge
13) AC and ventilated seats work excellent
14) Phone chargers positioned great and work
15) Just a smooth comfy ride
16) Synced with home wifi and downloaded updates to games tonight
17) Removing front plate took 10 minutes and that included breaks to scratch my butt while I worked

I will do more later.
Sounds like you're favorite thing on your new $100k+ MS LR are the games and ability to watch Netflix while in the car, lol. 😜 Glad you're enjoying it and with all your bitching, nice to know that you're super pleased with your decision and happy to hear all your positives so far! Cheers!!! 👍😎

I appreciate it but I started with the manual and checked all that

Very helpful. Now if I only had a car to try it on. 😕

Oh yeah, lots of exotics down there. The little badge will draw too much attention.. It would have been fun when I was 25. At 45, I just wanna be discreet and do my thing.
Even in my P100D, people would try to race with me.. On occasion when there were no cars around, I’d have a little fun. But like 110-120 fun, not 160-200 fun. The plaid will get 5X the attention which I don’t want. The badge will be removed lol

I think the big dog is really happy that he spent $100k on the car and didn’t spend the extra $40k for a quicker 1 second 0-60 and a spoiler 🤔 come on, it’s all friendly banter here … my wife is happy for my sacrifice and is getting a Y on the savings (well almost) 🤣
