Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I was told that to get the rate you have to accept delivery by October 1. The 30 day hold for the credit is just running your credit lasts 30 days.
Check with your local office, my sales rep got a mail last week stating that it was extended through next quarter, however I had ordered already. They may not be telling folks that haven't ordered yet about that. Not sure.
 
Marco, the Richmond Tesla store manager showed up this morning with a coil spring 75D MS for my wife to drive and to test the ground clearance of the car vs. my inclined driveway. He had no problems driving into the driveway but he could not back into the driveway without scraping the undercarriage. Well, that sealed the deal so we ordered a new production 75D MS with advanced autopilot. Delivery is expected sometime in October. Thanks for your advice!

Guys help out with my uncertainty on delivery.
08/04 - Order a new inventory with interested rate @ 0.99%.
08/05 - Then thought for the amount of money I pay the same custom order will fetch me additional smart air suspension and cold weather package.
08/07 - Ended up cancelling the new inventory to custom order.
08/17 - Order got confirmed. Expected delivery date between October to Early November. Very weird as I order this to get by end of September but now showing different month. From this date till now order is scheduled for production but not started production yet.
08/24 - Loan shifted to new custom ordered VIN # @ 0.99%. Can I take this email as confirmation that I will get this rate.
08/24 - Still getting n number of mails from DS that to make a payment on the new custom vehicle. I replied him before 8/24 many time that I have changed my order to custom order. I think the confusion is the new DS assigned to me as my previously assigned DS left the job. Asked the new DS to give their number so I can call and sort this out but till now I get no reply.

This is the mail subject I am getting many time:

"Our records indicate that you have yet to confirm your payment and/or profile details.
Before we’re able to schedule your delivery appointment, please visit your account"


Stuck with this situation where I dont know.
1. If I will get the car by end of sep / october.
2. If I'll get the loan by 0.99%.

Those emails are automated. They're causing the DS to receive a lot of email regarding them and some of the DS have replies to them sent straight to trash. Applying for financing less than 30 days before delivery is useless unless you think you may not qualify, since you will have to apply for financing again within 30 days of delivery.

In my opinion, I don't think you'll take delivery in September. However, there is a chance you may still get the 0.99% since people on the forums have said they have heard the promotion will be extended after September -- no one knows for certain right now.

I just got my page updated on my order, now my new delivery estimate is September to Early October.
 
Just contacted the Costa Mesa store asking to speak with a different DS because I'm wondering what's going on. Supposedly my car is in the last production stage and it's been in quality control. Does that mean they messed up and they are now trying to get a different part because it wasn't up to code? I also asked if I get 2.5 and the DS stated that I am getting 2.5 and it was only a firmware update???? I'm not sure whats going on at this store, but Costa Mesa is really making worried.

If he told you 2.5 is only a firmware update, then he has no idea what he's talking about. Obviously this guy is not to be believed .
 
Guys! could be a stupid question, but curiosity is making me anxious. If I ordered in the 1st week of Aug and order was confirmed on 10th Aug but the car has not gone into production even as of today, could I still get the new hardware or seats on the car.
 
Just to add data to the cause:

  • Order confirmed 8/20- 75D
  • At time of order and confirmation the delivery estimate on the design studio was "Late September".
  • After order confirmation the "mytesla" page estimates "Late September - October".
  • Unsolicited estimate from the delivery specialist is:
    • Scheduled to go into production the week of September 11th.
    • Estimated delivery by the end of September.
  • Delivery region: Ohio
I'm taking these estimates with a big grain of salt as that seems awfully quick, but I'll remain cautiously optimistic....

Update: Signed in for my daily check of my MyTesla page... Estimate has now changed from "late September-October" to "October-Early November".... Steadily moving back....
