Anyone have production start the last few days?

Posts on here had some late July and a 2 Aug confirmed dates go into production last Fri. My 75D was confirmed 7/4, so I figured I would see it in production over the weekend or Monday, which jived with the dates my DS estimated. But nothing yet. Model X side seems quiet too.

Need to adjust my watch to Tesla time I suppose

Well looks like I spoke too soon. 75D 8/4 confirmed, into production today.

Got an update on my car.
It's coming with 2.5 hardware. But unfortunately it was a batch that may have had bad parts so they have to inspect the 2,000 cars that it was built with.
When asked about eta for replacement part, DS did not know. So I have no ETA now.

@iSpencerPRo - (question for anyone in the thread) would you have bought the car without any AP hardware at all or was the AP components the selling point? Wondering why this was important to people - or is the novelty of having AP because this type of car hasn't existed before. Just a personal "research item" for me.

For me, I wanted the car to have the latest AP hardware, so I was willing to buy new vs used. I have tried AP1 in TACC and lane keeping modes and despite some issues, feel it's good enough under specific conditions. Having said that, I chose NOT to enable EAP yet due to the many issues reported. I will have to pay $6k instead of $5k later, but I feel it's a worthwhile gamble and hope that the basic AP pricing will drop in the future. Time will tell if I gambled correctly....

Order confirmed 08/11, not yet into production.

My DS said the 0.99% ends on Sep 30th.

Not looking good for me regarding getting the vehicle before the 30th to avail the financing offer. Sucks man.

What region do you live in? Seems like they're timing production to account for transport times to maximize deliveries before the end of September. Location seems to be more important than when the order was placed/confirmed. My car for delivery to the midwest is supposedly scheduled to start production the week of Sept 11 and if all goes well be here by the end of the month. I'm skeptical but I wouldn't give up hope quite yet....

Mid atlantic.

Is it 2 weeks from start of production to delivery that we have seen or is it 2 weeks from finish of production to delivery?

42 Days for a new, fully loaded Model S P100D with all options, from the order date (8/1) to the delivery date (9/11), on the East Coast. Not bad. I remember my father ordering a Ford station wagon in 1973, and it took 60 days. My observation/ best guesstimate on the "MyTesla" page is that the Tesla Order Specialist controls the updates/ changes manually, since nothing moved when she was out of the office.

Huge selling feature for me is AP. Here in so cal there is a ton of traffic and I want to be able to have the car assist me in the drive. I sadly didn't do full research and didn't see that the car didn't have everything that was in the video on the website. I'm still excited for it and assume it will have these features in the future.

Order confirmed on 8/10, just reconfirmed with my DS my car goes into production on 9/19 and am picking up in Fremont on 9/28. I have also been told the .99% continues through EoY.

I guess mine will go into production in similar time frame and am on east coast, so highly unlikely delivery before Sep 30th.

The decision then becomes do I cancel this and get an inventory 75D, which probably means no SAS and probably no AP HW 2.5 (which I am not sure what it is for anyway).

I really would prefer to wait for my own if I can get the 0.99% financing. God knows which DS is correct about 0.99%, till EoY or EoQ?

You can ask your OA to be on the lookout for a new inventory car direct from the factory. That way you aren't missing out on stuff.

I swapped my original order for a car that was being built on the line intended to be a NI car for a showroom in Texas. It was ahead in the production line a couple of days, everything exactly as I originally ordered and now I'll be getting my car two weeks sooner than expected (literally within 2 weeks tops as of today).

And on top of my referral discount, I also got a "showroom" discount (1K).

Just checked my options list and it's listed as having APH2. Order confirmed Aug 20. Anyone have any thoughts on why it doesn't have APH3? Scheduled for production week of Sept 11.

That is puzzling. Not that it should make a difference but what model is it? Did you get the production date from your DS? I was confirmed Aug 10th and haven't received a specific date yet (other than early Sept build, late Sept delivery) but mine has all the updated options...

Not doubting your DS but are you sure you are receiving a newest car? The last time I was offered a $1k showroom discount, it was because it was a couple of weeks older car without the SAS, ambient lighting and performance upgrade. The OA didn't know at first and had told me it was identical to what I ordered, but when I happily noted the "showroom discount" he checked and found out it didn't have the latest options, hence the $1k discount. Needless to say, I declined....

Not a bad idea. Except how do we know whats being built or which inventory model is newer than other (VIN is unreliable right cuz the order of VIN is based on time of order and not time of production)?
