Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Other posts have confirmed that that are building, but won't be delivering, until the SIGs are delivered. It would not make sense for them to stop production for any reason.

Just checked on the P delivery windows reported here and got this:

"The delivery estimates for those General Production are not accurate. Like I mentioned before, General Production cars will not enter production until after Signature Model S is completed and we are still in production for Signature Model S."

Contiguous, why do the two have to be contradictory? We have seen vin 668 be assigned, that only leaves 332 left to be assigned. At a rate of say 200 a week, we would see the first general production VIN assigned in 10 days. (Insert comments about Canadian Sigs here)

The dreaded email: SSL255 VIN 285

"The date range Oct 5[SUP]th[/SUP] – 19[SUP]th[/SUP] communicated earlier was the estimated delivery window that we were planning to deliver your car. Unfortunately supplier constraints at the factory have caused some production delays which in turn causes delivery delays. We are working around the clock and doing everything we can to deliver the best car possible.

The logistics team at the factory estimates your delivery window should only be delayed a week or so. I will notify you as soon as I hear any word about your car leaving the factory and we will schedule the earliest delivery date possible.

We are sorry for the delay, as it may come as a disappointment. Thank you for your patience during this very exciting time at Tesla. I can’t wait to deliver your Model S and get you behind the wheel! Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns."

The wosre part is, I had to make contact to get his unfun news......

So, does "still in production for Signature Model S" = All Signature Model S reservation holders have been sent the finalize email and either finalized their MVPA or converted to R or P?

I'd like to assume that no Signature Model S vehicles will be built after R#1 starts production. And yes, I'm including all 1200 Sigs (Oh Canada!).

From George's email it SOUNDS like not all sigs have gotten the "prep" email (which comes before you even get your VIN etc)

With all this now taken into account, what should you be expecting next? For most of you (some of you are already beyond this point), two things will be happening very soon. You will be receiving an email to start prepping for your delivery, and you will be receiving a revised target delivery date from the Delivery Experience Team. The email will ask a few questions about where you would like to take delivery, if you plan to finance your Model S, if you have a trade-in, and will confirm your registration information. This email will be coming out soon and is the start of your delivery process.

Received my email this morning. For Signature Performance reservation sequence number 1232 my delivery window is October 26th to November 9th.

Configuration is Signature Red with White interior, Carbon Fiber decor, Panoramic Roof, 21" Silver Wheels, Paint Armor no Rear Facing Seats.

Larry

This evening I received a call from my Delivery Experience Specialist moving my delivery window back two weeks from November 9th to November 23rd.

Better than I got. My emails are not even getting answered. I assume I'm not getting a car by Friday.
