Yeah, I'm interested in what the puddle lights are under the doors are like now... hopefully Omar or another owner can chime in.
I am fairly confident they are going to be basic LEDs. Whether they are brighter or not would be interesting. And how easily are they retrofitted would be good to know. You probably could look at the event night photos and see the puddle lights.

Someone needs to look under the doors to see. I bought some of the T-logo ones from Abstract Ocean long ago due to the pre-refresh lights being too underpowered, and I really enjoy that logo on the ground. Given that Tesla sent out a cease & desist letter that made Abstract have to discontinue the ones with the T-logo, I'm hoping that the shape of the lights is still the same (but hopefully they have made them brighter now).

It’s been done without the $10,000 new price increase. Someone who has done it should be chiming in shortly. I can’t recall the specifics but several have been able to do it.
I was picking up that is HAS been done before…trying to find precedent.

I’ve seen a lot of “ok I’ll upgrade to 21s for earlier delivery dates” and none reference getting surcharged but can’t exactly piece this together. Thanks again!

The aftermarket puddle lights with the 3-line E look cool though. I'll probably just leave the puddle lights oem as long as they're decently bright enough; otherwise, I would swap out for the 3-line E LED puddle lights.

Agreed. The JLR Meridian system (800w if I recall) was the best audio system I've ever had in one of my cars. It absolutely rocked and from what people are saying about this new Tesla 960w noise-cancelling audio system, it's possible that it may be just as good as the Meridian system. I actually test-drove a 2020 MS Performance back in Feb, 2021 and tested out the audio system (which is a downgrade to what the refresh MS has now) and thought it was fairly decent....not as good as the JLR Meridian system but not bad at all. So, I'm not concerned about the audio system in my MS Plaid.
love my Range Rover Velar system hope the Plaid is better

I know this has been asked before but I don't remember seeing a confirm... do the all-weather mats from Tesla fit right in the new S?
Yes (brand new ones on Tesla.com Shop) except for the long rear floor mat...apparently there are tabs that don't lay down flat or something like that. New Plaid owners have said that the front all-weather mats fit perfectly as well as the all-weather trunk mat. Funny b/c I have them all sitting all rolled up in my garage just below my Tesla wall connector (charger) BUT no Tesla EV to put them all in, lol. 😜

Thinking of going to check out Fast & Furious 9 tonight...as close as I'm gonna get to seeing a Vin anytime soon.

Had one too but only did higher speeds at half mile races at airports. 185 mph is scary fast even there! The one thing good about this car being at a higher price point is that I would hope that the people buying them are extremely cautious.
Unfortunately, having money doesn’t equate to cautious or responsible behavior. In fact, a lot of the wealthiest people I know are not risk averse and obtained their wealth by taking huge financial risks. This risky behavior sometimes carries over into other areas of life.

I love that the Plaid exists, and admire the technology that created a car that can literally accelerate like a spaceship. Unfortunately, alot of people could potentially kill themselves or other drivers. There are lots of cars that have the same problem, but owning a car that is labeled as the world’s fastest presents new problems, because everyone with a fast car will want to benchmark it against the new standard.

Watching this Plaid video did not impress me. I hate seeing someone risk the lives of other drivers. Going close to 100 mph faster than the flow of traffic on public roads is a recipe for disaster. I guess I’m just getting old, because in my early 20’s I would have thought this was awesome.

Had an appt to pickup my Plaid on 06/25 and they cancelled delivery, rescheduled for today at 10am. Call me 1 hour before my appt and say I cannot take the car because of paint defects. I drive there and there is a very tiny scratch on the back window and a small paint defect if you open the trunk, inside the jam. Both extremely small issues that I could bring the car back to correct. They tell me I cannot take the car because it has to be perfect. Meanwhile I already sold my car and two appointments later. They then tell me the main screen won’t boot. No communication throughout the whole process. Just a terrible customer service experience. I will say the car, white with black interior is insanely sexy. Like night and day better in person. There was also a gray version there and it was great, but the white just pops with all the black accents, looked quite a bit better in my opinion.

as a side note they gave me a p100d loaner car, and I didn’t find the speed a huge difference from my 2013 P85 surprisingly. Anyone with a P100D drive a Plaid? Is the difference extreme?

Despite the poor customer service, the car looks incredible. All of you will be beyond happy with your purchase, I’ll be waiting another couple weeks, but, first world problems.

A lot of people inherited their money. In LA
I often see lambos gong 100mph down melrose
Ave. One rich Bev Hills kid ended up killing a child While speeding in his Lamborghini. Fortunately for him, Daddy had a lot of dough and lawyers to make sure kid didn’t do time.
and because the plaid is reasonably priced compared to the exotics around here, I expect
To see a lot of them.

on the other hand, I was one of those kids 50 years ago. But I was never wreckless. In fact the only time I drove over 190 Was More recently on the NJ Turnpike in my AMG-GTS. But I also had two troopers escorting me for the ride. They plowed the road for me if you know what I mean.

I also was a little reckless when driving some of my sport motorcycles. It’s hard to go slow on them. But that put me I. More danger than the vehicles around me. I sold my bikes before moving to LA 2 years ago. This city is not angoos
Place To drive motorcycles. I see a lot of guys on highways here but mostly Harleys which are not too fast. I think they are crazy. Splitting lanes is legal here in CA amd it seems very dangerous. But I am older.

My delivery was rescheduled from today to tomorrow morning and now to tomorrow afternoon. I am pretty sure I won’t get my car until Tuesday. But after 6 months of waiting what are a couple more days.
