Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I love the X and would have opted for it over the S, except for:
- the seats didnt change to sport seats, and frankly im bored of Tesla’s interior and much prefer the sport seats, it makes it feel like a much needed refresh
- X’s used to open the door for you automatically upon approach - it pops open now instead of opening wide. Not a total buzzkill, but being used to the older X that popped wide open i think that would have annoyed me every time upon approach

personally i think the X is ugly, looks like a minivan whereas the S is gorgeous. That’s part of the appeal of the X, but the above led me to another S.

Any comment on ride between S and X?
I have had 2 Xs and 2 Ss - I currently have a plaid s and X.

I think the X rides smoother, it is bigger inside and outside - I prefer it for around town with the family.
I think the S is quieter, handles better, sportier less SUV feeling inside. I prefer driving the S for fun, road trips and commuting.

But they are very very similar. The S is my favorite all-purpose car.

So you’d choose the S for 3 hour commuting round trips on the weekend over the X? X rides better but is noisier?

Ordered 3/5 Model S Plaid Black with Cream. Switched to white interior on 6/9. Received VIN 6/17. Took delivery in Chicago on 6/29. Smooth process. About 30-40 minutes in the center. Car looks pretty much perfect. Free Unlimited Supercharging and FSD were both transferred from my trade-in within about 1 hour from taking delivery.

Only question I have is that the very corner of the drivers side read bumper sticks out just a little bit compared to the passenger side of it. When I look in the panel gap, there's a small green looking disc visible that isn't visible on the passenger side. Does anyone know what that is or if it's fine? Attached a blurry picture of it. It's not a huge deal.

Looks great! Congrats on getting those perks transferred.

How do you like the white vs your hopeful cream? Please come back after a while and post if you get dye transfer from bluejeans or if it cleans up easily with baby wipes.

Unless you really can't cope with the rear bumper cover gap/green thing, I'd live with it unless you have a good feel your local techs won't make it or something else worse somehow. It is strange, though!
