You had me LOL'ing picturing you working the doors. You knew the car came with Falcon Wing doors didn't you?
You are one mellow dude.
Enjoy
I'm sure it will grow on you. Or your wife. Like a fungus (but they have creams for that). All in all, slightly anticlimactic. I mean, after 2 years of waiting and over 2000 posts on TMC as well as countless hours browsing and reading, anything short of a Dragon capsule would have been anticlimactic. Very happy to have it home and in my possession, though.
Oh, before I forget: @K-MTG, no I didn't get a sunshade. Yes, the factory tint seemed like plenty for me on this sunny 70 degree day.
I would email and call your delivery specialist ... if MyTesla is still saying April, I would have thought you would have one by now. I got my VIN almost exactly a month before delivery (2/29 VIN, 3/31 delivery)Should I expect a VIN by now if I was promised mid-April delivery?

Sorry for my lack of clarity. Yes, it was the passenger falcon wing door. I revisited it this afternoon, and what seemed to have happened after the 3 inch stop is that the X's internal door status was that that door was open even though I had closed it. So trying to open it resulted in an error, and trying to close it.. the same. I read a thread on this forum at one point which talked about using the override function repeatedly until the door was in a good state with the display. So I tried that, and it only took a few iterations. Since then, I haven't been able to reproduce my issue. Doors opened and closed repeatedly without issue. That white on white looks stunning.
Your issues with the passenger doors: I thought at first you were talking about the front door but the description about center hinge point left me feeling you were talking about the FWD. And you said as you dragged it down it became better aligned?
Glad to hear. It's a pretty amazing car. And according to the statement made today about the 'technology hubris', it appears that we got a version 3 car in version 1.I've got a very positive attitude on the X so far..
