Software Update 2019.8.x

Hey all.

My MX Jan ‘17 is in the Service Centre and it just downloaded and installed the latest update available. 2019.8.5

Does anyone know what this update actually entails? I’m intrigued.

After the Software update 2019.8.5 3aaa23d i noticed that a section of front headlights are "on".

Is only visible when is dark (no lights ).

Maybe is a new setting, or Im missing some info. Any one else ?

My car was parked in the garage at 5PM, at 8PM, it was hit with a 300MB download and by 9PM I was ready to go from 8.3 to 8.5.

Yes the steering wheel has a vibration (if enabled). It's probably similar to the lane departure vibration.

Woke up at 6am and saw I received a push at about an hour earlier that my car had an update. Update took about 35-40 mins and I received 8.5, about a week after receiving 8.3.

I've noticed with the no-confirmation lane change on NOA, almost all the lane changes, simultaneously, prompts the "apply light pressure to steering wheel" before the vehicle will change lane. I would have to apply pressure, and then the car will change lane.

Will play with it again later when I leave work but thought that was interesting. Not sure if it's intended that way, to require you to apply the pressure to steering wheel, prior to lane change.

It wants your hands to be on the wheel, and is obviously performing the detection check.

Got 8.5 too. I live in Canada so it is not only for the US!

BTW I am on 2.0

Really can you verify the NOA now doesn't require user input, I didn't think it would get released in Canada that quick. Awesome news

First reactions on 2018.8.5.... Watching it very closely (as always....)
Highway lane changes continue to have a problem which first appeared for me in 2018.8.3... It will go 1/4 of the way into the new lane and then abort the lane change. This occurs with no nearby traffic, but maybe only when the lane markers are dashed white. (seems to work with solid yellow). I'm surprised since this seemed to work perfectly in earlier releases.

Hope they hit me with it but I just got 8.4 last night.

On the 3, we got 8.4 on Wednesday and then 8.5 on Thursday.

Are AP3.0 owners getting these updates faster, slower, or not at all?

We haven't gotten 8.5 on the AP3 X yet...but we've only had it a couple days. It's still on 5.15.

My 2018 SP100D is till on 2018.50.6
In the past my updates were more on the early side. Is there a rhyme or reason to when updates are received ?
