Stealth install at Hive shopping centre! Spotted by xtesseract on Discord. Already on the Tesla app (not on the website map yet).

Doesn't appear to be open to all EVs.

Takes Melbourne to 8 sites (versus 4 in Sydney's 3 in Brisbane)

Very close to the existing Richmond site. Pricing is flat versus Richmond which is ToU.

I bet this will be busy 24/7 , lot of apartments/units around. Do they charge for parking? I lived on Victoria Street at a time when this shopping centre didn’t exist.

I believe 1st hour free, then $4 per hour for parking, not sure if there is a Tesla supercharger user exemption from that

Visited the charger today after an IKEA trip. The entrance to The Hive is a diabolical rim scraper and very tight indeed. The chargers are on the left pretty much instantly and are in the format of two x two bays back to back.

Off-topic, but I used to wonder how close together the two closest of anything major were… like Bunnings or IKEA. In Sydney there used to be a Bunnings in Mascot that was only 2 km away from an even larger Bunnings in Alexandria. The Mascot store closed in 2020.

Or traffic lights - there used to be a pedestrian traffic light in Hunter St in the Sydney CBD that was only 15 metres away from the next set of lights… only 3 cars could fit between the two! Surely an Australian record (until they were removed).
