If not there is always Atascadaro. I go up that way a few times a month I usually will stay in Beulton long enough for a round trip but if I know im gonna drive alot in SLO i will just go all the way up and charge in Atascadaro.Visiting Paso in June. Hope its up by then so I can visit!
I went by the supercharger installation late tonight and they still have technicians working on several of the open equipment cabinets. I asked when they thought it would be open and all they would say was "it's not up to us.". I'm guessing it will be at about a week or so before it is open.
The utility transformer is generally the limiting factor (unless it's already there) - expect to wait a few weeks for that to be delivered, then it will need to be connected to the grid and tested by Tesla.
I could be wrong, but I think this might be the utility transformer in this photo Lloyd posted on April 20th.
Yep. I can confirm it is working. I am a little dissapointed Tesla didnt use pink as the color of the chargers to keep it Madonna.@smilepak I saw that post and came here to share it, looks like you beat me
Thats an old Unocal gas station in the background! Remember it from my Cal Poly days. How fitting to now have such a different energy source now being dispensed from basically the same location.
By the way, there are four public Clipper Creek J1772 chargers near the south corner of the parking lot, west of the Embassy Suites. 214V @ 30A. They are free. There's a lot of construction in there so getting to the right part of the lot may be a little tricky.
@Lloyd I’m shocked it took you three days after it became operational to visit this new Supercharger.Verified operational! Shows on the Nav screen too!
