Cap capricorn has slowed to 5 kts and won't be at the pier at 530, IMO.Come on you slow ass ship
We'll even throw in Barnaby for good measure! They'll be held until we get Pharlap back and you admit the pavlova is ours.
Yep, I made that same observation last week. Until delivery appointments are made the boat isnt close, and NZ will be first to know.As I sit here, trying to work but actually waiting for Cap Capricorn to pass outside my window, it occurs to me that there are probably very few, if any, model 3s aboard. I would very much like to be wrong, mind you. But if there are cars on cap, Tesla on K rd will probably have the cars Tuesday or Wednesday. If so, they'll want to start deliveries at the end of the week. (They don't have space to store many cars, in addition to their rabid customers). If they want to do deliveries at the end of the week, they should already be making delivery appointments and arranging payment. And there's no indication that they have done so...

Maybe they're cutting it fine. Next 24-48 hours will tell for sure, I reckon.Yep, I made that same observation last week. Until delivery appointments are made the boat isnt close, and NZ will be first to know.
They don't seem to have issues with re-assigning VINs and re-scheduling appointments, based on the reports from the UK. But, let's hope you're right!I feel like it would be wise to be sure the car you are going to deliver is in one piece before you promise it to the customer. Maybe they are waiting until the dust settles to book a collection appointment.
A bit more on NZ insurance: still no response from vero (insure my tesla). According the FB group, they're very slow, and many other people seem to have issues with the real quote being much more than the indicative price (~$1100). I did get a detailed quote from youi, though, which is about the same as the vero indicative price.
Just write 'Unknown' in there mate. I did.
You will not be impressed with their offer btw. Guaranteed!
