Looks like it's a container ship... hmmm that would take really long to pack a so many Tesla's in containers... Why does everyone think the cars are on Cap Capricorn ?

I could go on a long post, but really, look at the last 192 pages (well, maybe the last 40). There is a lot of discussion about that.

I’ll give you the clff notes , since you are recent, and there are a few new others.

1. Roll on roll off (RoRo) eliminated - All RoRo leave from San Francisco pier 80. No ships have come this way at all - we’ve been watching.
2. So it has to be a container ship if deliveries are August and September. All Teslas have been shipped this way. There is one route from Oakland where they are loaded. 8 ships rotate on the Route, (9 ships now). The route is typically (but not always) Oakland, Seattle, Vancouver, Long Beach, Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide. (Offload Sydney).
Tracked here Public - Google Drive
3. Hidden vins (in source code) have appeared in NZ (and disappeared). All vins registrations (not build date) were from July 7. Departure July 13 - Cap Capricorn. This timeline works for the UK vehicles vins the week before - 6 days vin to load. No uk vins have been assigned from this July 7 range.
4. Various sources have indicated various things. It is trying to pick what is consistent across sources (and not opinion). This is what has been corroborated from more than one source from what I can recall.
- one delivery batch August, one In September. Only 2 ships are left for August delivery - Cap Capricorn 16 Aug, Kota Ekspres Aug 23
- 2 leaks came out anonymously from 2 sources about Cap. One said quite confidently under 1000, one said 600. The lower end fits with the load time at Oakland. Nothing about Kota.
- Brotonne Bridge for the September deliveries - had a very long load time in Oakland. 2-4 times more than normal.
- Confirmed Vins (visual) would be assigned on ship arrival. This hasn’t happened yet since the cars can’t be here yet. Nothing earlier works with the vin dates.
- ‘Checkout’ to begin tomorrow. This is almost the last step in the process. We have to be close.
- Even Tesla staff seem to know more local delivery specifics in the last few days - because they need to know.

How did you know cap capricorn has two leaks? (Dot point 4.2). Leaks arent good on boats.

Of course you would, but it isn't always that easy to do.
Also those thin spare tyres that are typical these days are only mean to be installed on the back wheels, so it can mean changing effectively 2 wheels if you get a flat on the front. But basically most manufacturers want to save space and weight and not supply something that is rarely used. I live in the hills on pretty average roads and I've only had one issue with a flat tyres in 10+ years I think.
Just put the spare on the roof rack like Tesla did in Wanaka SHPG.

Brisbane said the same Saturday, covers trade in, registered owners, delivery location, payment methods (and possibly insurance, but not so sure about this)
We all have to love Vedaprime, right? A GOD amongst us mere mortals. Let’s hope we all disappear from this forum soon because we are too busy looking after our babies :)

When you stay with ppl at your destination, what do you call the conversation where you ask if you can use their plug. Is this a problem?

Also what is it doing to the economics of caravan parks (powered tent sites) ?
I think I would open with “I have an electric car and I would like to pay you for letting me charge it if you are happy.” and negotiate from there

Edit: what is checkout exactly? Do they phone us?

I have to fly from Melbourne to Brisbane to collect mine. The things we do...

...on the other hand my first drive is from Brisbane to Melbourne so that's an upside!
Checkout is the website change for providing more info as outlined in last post, then trade-in valued if not already, then at you get a call from a delivery specialist - a real person to talk to for final arrangements.
