Fascinating. This gives all of us #novinners hope. Doubly awesome that you are in Sydney. Maybe they are finally getting to the Sydney crowd and starting with the early reservers.
Being a Feb reserver, hopefully mine wont be too far away.
In other news, I had a random missed call from a number in Tunisia. Is Tesla's call centre based there?
The number Tesla called me on to book my appointment started with 8424 XXXX so keep a lookout if your Sydney based
just do a find for 5yj

My Tesla account page now shows my home address in Perth for delivery instead of Melbourne. Delivery date changed to 17th Sept (one day later than yesterday) but no call from a delivery specialist to confirm that date as yet. Heading to the bank to pay the invoice to ensure no delays from my side.
My address has updated to my home address too. No date change for me. Still Sept. 16, 2019 at 04:00 PM, which ironically I can't make.
The longer Tesla take the more appealing the new S1000RR I've got my eye on is looking. I keep telling myself.... must not spend Tesla money on another bike.

Got bit over $2k per year from CBA, had to increase the excess to get down from ~$2.5k.
Allianz seems to refuse based on my address - couple of online ones using the same form, including Bank Australia (with whom I'm banking) unfortunately.

I got a call on I think it was Tuesday, promising an invoice "soon" and delivery within 2 weeks. P3D+ with White interior. No VIN (gone now) and no invoice. It will be delivered to my door they said.

I know everyone here is busy tracking when they are picking up the car. However they may be a few of us still remaining that were hoping for a few more options to get added and/or other things to line up correctly.
I have been talking about that with a Tesla rep over the last couple of months while holding off putting the order in and keeping my reservation alive. Well, I got a call today from that Tesla rep and he mentioned that holding off is all fine, however I should know that they have been informed about a coming bump in the price. He said the information he has points to there being overall 2% price hike across the board starting next week Friday, but the exact time can vary as Tesla has sometimes done those changes without warnings. I suspect that is because of the weakening AUD. And a few weeks ago there was something in the press about China prices going up from end of August because of their currency rates dropping, so it does make sense.
So if you are on the fence like me, there is this to consider.

Another Canberra resident here. I dropped by Martin Place yesterday in Sydney to check out the Model 3. In the words of Borat, IS VERY NIIIICE. Had a nice chat with the Tesla employee, who swore they didn't know anything about deliveries, and I believe her.
I sent a sycophantic email to Tesla last night informing them of my end of Q3 travel plans (flying to the US on the 14/9) and just got this back:
"Thanks for your email and your good wishes! If it was going to be ready on the 13th, you would have received a call and a VIN by now, so it’s looking like end of September. We’ll keep in touch if there are developments whilst you’re away."
Great email. A little bummed that it is still far away, but this makes it easier to relax and fight the obsessive compulsive refreshing of Tesla news.
Just got the call. Was advised of delivery by mid/late September with invoice coming soon. After the call I checked my account and I had 27-Sep as the tentative delivery date. Hidden VIN, SR+, Adelaide, reserved 4/4/2016, ordered 2/6/2019.
Therefore given the later delivery date I'm guessing mine will be assigned from one of the next few of ships. Interestingly though my hidden VIN is early enough to have arrived in Sydney on Cap Capricorn.

Well deserved based on your early reservation, surprising that you need to wait till late September though.
