@adamonline @area @Xylarr we are all in the same boat (well our cars are, literally) having gotten our hidden VINs last week (Brotonne Bridge), SR+, Sydney, early res and order dates... but no calls from the delivery specialist yet (data sourced from Randoms sheet).

If any of you receive a call be sure to let us know. I've emailed them today asking for an update as the radio silence is killing me. With the way things look we may spill over to October deliveries. Will let you guys know if I hear back.

I just got a call from Tesla today:

Pick update date 24/09 @ Alexandria, NSW
SR+ Deep Blue Metalic
Reserved: March 2019
Ordered: 1st July 2019

Got hidden VIN on 28/08
5YJ3F7EA2KF4613XX (Brotonne Bridge)

Based on my call from Tesla yesterday I think the delivery logistics of Sydney vs Melbourne are fairly different in their schedule.

My VIN is 4432xx and assigned to me nearly 3 weeks ago. That VIN is Cap Capricorn which arrived in Sydney on August 16th, yet the earliest delivery they were offering me was week beginning September 30. There are VINs on ships arriving a couple weeks LATER and yet having deliveries in Sydney at least a week earlier

Either the transport to Melbourne is slow or their delivery team doesn’t have the same capacity as Sydney (up until a week ago they were advertising for a Delivery Manager Job in Melbourne).

So anyone in Melbourne who has yet to receive a call I can fairly confidently say that any deliveries scheduled from now are highly likely to be October onwards apart from a small number picking up cancelled appointments.

It could also be the 12v battery issue as well. If batteries are flying in Monday, this makes me think it isn’t a small number. I too am one of these in these early vin ranges with no call as well. It could also be 4432 was produced later like 4431(some on Kota), and 4434 (some on Brotonne) - both have a spread production range now. Your invoice will prove it when it comes from the build date.

I tried a few of the US sites that stock Yakima products none would post to Australia.

SeaSucker Heavy-Duty Roof Racks at SeaSucker Down Under Are available locally. I’m still not completely convinced the Tesla racks are the best design solution. I worry about the tape on the glass and its replacement/longevity in addition to the durability of the weld between the blade and bolt of the clip.

Having said that the SeaSucker rack is not something I would put a lot of weight on given my lack of understanding of the stress and vibration tolerance of the Tesla roof

You paid over $7k to get those wheels. Though, I'm guessing you would have no issues selling them.

I wanted the white interior.

You bought a vehicle that was discontinued before you even received it. Good luck explaining that to buyers once the P+ saturates the market.

Especially seeing as it has track mode. Without that it would be a different story. Unfortunately when it was possible to order the P-, no one could tell for certain of it came with track mode or not

Would not be surprised if you wake up one day and find track mode gone on the P-, when Tesla leans up and starts to roll back features like they did with the SR vs SR+.

Unfortunately I agree with this. They seem to be way behind the ball on this one, I would expect this to keep going until demand dies off (maybe november at least). I don't have much hope of getting my car until mid-october at the earliest. For a company that lives and dies on its numbers, they don't seem to be (at least outwardly) concerned with delivering this as quickly as possible.
