OK, it looks like I am going to be in the market for a CPO Model S "for reals" in the November/December time-frame (maybe just in time for some year-end price drops)!

I am trying to work up actual numbers, etc and would like to narrow down TTL for my spreadsheet (I'm an engineer - its a disease). I see the transportation fee can be up to $1500, but are there other document fees as well for CPOs?

I do have a test drive scheduled for a couple weeks away, but I am sure I won't remember to ask then, LOL. So if anyone who has been through the purchase process recently can reveal the various Tesla-generated fees, I would appreciate it! (I can sort out my eye-watering LA County sales taxes, unfortunately)

From one engineer to another, don't bother! ;)

I originally had a six-month financial horizon for buying a Model S in 2014. I had just sold two other "play cars" I had (a Delorean and BMW Z4) in January 2014, but was in no way ready to plunk down the cash needed for a Model S for *at least* six to eight more months. But I decided to go for a "test drive" and do some research. The day after I sold my Delorean, I found out about the Tesla "Inventory" program. Well, to make a long story short, I found a P85+ with the exact options I wanted for less than I was planning on spending for an S85 or P85 new. I just couldn't let that deal go by, so in less than one week after selling the Delorean, I closed the deal on the PERFECT P85+ which I *never* thought I'd be able to afford.

So, bottom line, "logic" doesn't apply in Tesla-land. The fees are what they are. Deal with it. Just buy the most perfect car you can find, if it's now, October, November, December, or later. The sooner you're an owner, the happier you'll be. Trust me on that. All the engineering, logic, and calculations don't mean a damn thing when you finally have a Model S in your garage.

LOL, alright - but you are messing with my head - I want a calculator that gets down to the PENNY so I can run various financing scenarios. ;)

Actually, I won't be able to buy until November as the cash I need won't free up until then. So, spreadsheets help me kill the time. I have one using your wonderful program data, where I am keeping track of the various CPOs that fit my criteria, how long they stay up for sale, and what the prices are doing, LOL.

I was told by my CPO advisor that they were trying to get everything on the web site. Then jeepn30 tells us he just snagged one with a CPO advisor (or someone at his SC) after missing out on one from the web site.

What gives?

Just picked up our latest 90D today and spoke to our advisor about the whole inventory thing and he confirmed not everything is on the website. Makes sense to me, this is our 3rd Model S and each time he's found us the perfect car which wasn't listed on the site. I put his contact info in a previous post if you want him to look for something specific for you. Or PM me and I can connect you.

Thanks, good luck! We lived in West Springfield for 10 years before moving to Annandale in 2015. Let me know if you want the contact info of the CPO specialist I'm dealing with -- he's based in Georgia but covering Mid-Atlantic for the time being.
Yes, please do. I got in touch with a guy from Tysons but I think he's just sending over listings that are posted on Tesla's site, nothing hidden.

Yes, Hopefully they can get the main page figured out. It would certainly make it easier for us to display the correct info. However after looking over the files there seems to be some missing data. Hopefully they can fix it over the next few days.

Side note: Due to popular demand, we have added Europe CPO/Inventory listings to www.TeslaInventory.com!

Filtered Tesla Inventory Search: www.TeslaInventory.com

Thanks Erik

For my CPO it was price plus $1500 transportation plus sales tax. No other fees. Financing was based on that number.

The only other fees will be related to registration within your state. I'm not sure if they handle it for you, but there's ways to calculate it.

Yeah, same here - only fees I had were Title and Tags fees - which were actually cheaper than it would have cost me to go to the DMV and do it myself - I asked about it and they said they had a flat fee for title/tags, no matter what needed to be done, simple transfer, new plates, etc. They said if it costs more, they cover any additional expense a part of their 'good will' to the customer.

A note on the transportation fees - I had a quote from a couple different sales centers and found that the fee varied. So it appears that they have a little latitude in that area. Richard was the lowest of all the quotes.

By the way - we did take delivery of our 90D Friday - Richard took good care of us - Awesome experience as usual.

Took it straight to Clear Bra Ohio and got the paint armor treatment (chose the Suntek product this time - looks awesome). Keith made sure everything turned out perfect as usual. Some had asked about pics before, some attached below.

I am now entering my 6th week waiting on my CPO P85+ (Florida car- in the next county). I know ordering new takes time - but this is a bit strange. Delivery specialist has new delay reason every week (I reach out every week for an update - there has never been a proactive communication from Telsa since I put the $1K down). Is anyone else seeing this length of time for an in-state CPO?

I don't know why people are so impatient. Honest for my inventory vehicle I didn't even contact them. They contacted me saying I needed to pick it up. They were full at the service center.

Just be patient people. It will come. I think if you are in a hurry to get your car, you need to spend more time thinking about what you would get for accessories or plan some trips. Occupy your time and I am sure the time will pass quickly.

Wow, you've been waiting weeks and it's that close??? That sounds odd.

I'm in Ohio and my car was in NY, I got it in about a week and a half.

I'm in AL, ordered my CPO over a month ago from GA and I'm still waiting... Like tsb, I also get an excuse when I call. I was originally told 2.5-3 weeks, then at the 3 week mark I got a call saying it needed to be repainted which would take an additional 2.5-3 weeks. They won't even be delivering, I'm driving to GA to pick it up... Someday...
