You're welcome! Feel free to give me some rep points if you think the charts are worthy of it. :)

Speaking of California, bxr140 originally asked to see the same chart based on stalls rather than stations, and I never got around to plotting that (until now). Here they are side-by-side (or rather top-to-bottom). I didn't re-sort for the Stall version, because I thought it would make it easier to compare the two datasets. There's obviously a pretty close correlation, but a few states do stand out more (or less) using the stall data.

Looks like it is time to add superchargers here in Michigan. Glad to see that is on Tesla's radar screen over the next two years.

Thanks! I think that stall data/graph is actually more useful than the station version. Delaware and Rhode Island look pretty similar on the station chart, but the stall chart shows why Newark is more of a mess on weekends than you'd realize from the station chart. Similarly, Maryland looks pretty mid-pack until you take into account that the Bethesda temporary Supercharger only has two stalls, which translates directly into frequent waiting. While on the other end of the spectrum the efforts to relieve congestion in California are more apparent when considering total stalls instead of just stations. Much more useful!

Q2 2015 so far: 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 (in 7 days)

"A little less than 1 new live Supercharger station per day"
That looks like the going average these days. And that still is extraordinary progress.

Any news/rumors about superchargers in near Sikeston, MO (Where I55 and I57 merger), Memphis, TN and Little Rock, AR? Really hope to be able to travel from Chicago to Little Rock for Thanksgiving this year and this corridor from Chicago to Memphis is rather empty of Superchargers past the midway point of Illinois.

Hi guys, Just seems like the supercharging network expansion is slowing down dramatically. Been sitting at 425 stations for a few weeks now.
Are they just getting lazy in updating the map or are they really trying to conserve cash (as many financial analysts have raised Tesla's cash burn as a concern).

Japan, Australia, and mainland Europe haven't changed in many months. "Coming soon" for Rome, Barcelona, and Madrid has been well over a year now. Guess they are prioritizing the high demand areas but these are pretty big travel destinations for European travellers.

Anyone else noticed this?

I sure have. Not sure if they're just saving cash or if they deploy projects in waves instead of continuously.

It has been very slow, although there have actually been three openings in the last week (Marathon FL, Kitzbuhel Austria, and the first one in Finland). There has been pretty good permitting and construction activity in Europe lately, so the pace of openings there should increase soon. The permit activity has been getting stronger in the U.S., so the pace of new openings here should increase in June. By the way, don't follow Tesla's supercharger page for the latest scoop - go to supercharge.info.

3 have opened and 7 have been added as in construction in that time. Not sure if that counts as slow or not.

edit: I can personally say they are doing fast work in 90F/32C high humidity weather at the Knoxville Supercharger. With 4-6 people on site ever time I've been there since construction started. I can't imagine there is anything close to "cash strapped" happening right now.

It's just hot and build outs take time.

Thankyou dhanson,
My 1st thought upon reading was a feeling of an undertow ... as if too slow of a build out instantly equals Tesla must be cash strapped - and therefore in trouble, and therefore a stock tumble must be on the horizon .... which is unfortunately how the financial society likes to operate in these times .... where every/any/& all shifting of the wind means that all of the lemmings must (in unison) turn & fly in a different direction.
When we look back at gasoline & ICE build out ... 1890's thru 1940 you then realize that super charger build out is coming along ok. Jest sayin' ... the glass is 1/2 full.

In April they fell even further behind schedule in the U.S. After coming up at least four short in March, they only completed (defined as on in-car nav, plus listed and mapped on Tesla SC page) six of the twelve sites they needed for April.

To recap, at the end of 2014 Tesla had 144 SC sites (counting the dual sites in CT once each) and Tesla's 2015 map showed 291 by the end of the year or 147 new ones, requiring them to complete an average of 12.25 sites/month. At the end of April they were ten behind, 39 out of the 49 they needed (Note, this doesn't count Riviera Beach or Tucumcari, as neither meets the criteria above). In order to meet the year end schedule they would have to average 13.5 sites/month for the rest of the year, and that's highly unlikely. As it is, we're almost 1/3rd of the way through the month with just a single site having commissioned, and only 8 known to be under construction. The two currently unlisted sites I mentioned above could appear relatively quickly once they get their issues fixed (access and power quality respectively), but even if Tesla were to complete all the known sites under construction plus a couple of stealth sites by the end of the month, which is unlikely, they wouldn't make up for the shortfall or get back on schedule. If this trend continues, this will be the third year in a row they fall way short of their claims. Tesla needs a more believable spokesperson than Elon Musk, as far as timetables go - I believe Joe Isuzu is available.

Don't know if anyone reported this yet, but the Sales, Service, and Delivery Center near Cleveland at 5180 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 has a Supercharger in the Service Area. Now this is an area that is only open during business hours (M-F 8-6), but I'm sure they'll help in a pinch.

Also, it's a spot that has a ton of CPO Model S.

Stopped by to have them look our car over after driving here from California on an Eastbound journey. They are not putting that SC on the map 'cause of the limited hours and availability.
