If anyone can stand to wait a few months, the 19" Rial Luganos will be available from Tire Rack in mid-October, according to sales specialist Doc Horvath. They will be $239 plus shipping, quite a bit cheaper than Tunershop, and available in Titanium Gunmetal or Bright Silver. Doc says the owner of Tire Rack has a Model S!

Oh yes... fine, I'll be waiting then! They'll mount the tires with TPMS sensors too, so that it's just a matter of bolting them on and reprogramming TPMS.

$239 for a set of 4, or $239 each?

As I indicated in another post, Al and Ed's (TSsportline) will soon be offering 19" turbine wheels to the exact Model S specs (same offset, etc) and the original Tesla lug nuts will work as well. Based on what I was told at TESLIVE, the price will be competitive with the Tire Rack Rial Lugano's and they should be available within a month. So soon it appears we'll have another great option.

artsci-somebody had indicated on a different post that they recently spoke with Al and Edhim re: the 19" turbine wheels and were given the impression it is still in the concept stage with no clear details. Thus, the excitement re: the Rial wheels. I for one would prefer an easy on easy off option with the original lug nuts if possible but this is a good second best option if available.

That was me. I tried to post this info twice this morning to this thread but it never showed up.... artsci, if you know who you spoke with at Al & Ed's, please do try to confirm what you heard with him. I spoke with Max there last week and he said there are no firm plans for such a wheel. They do have a very nice forged 19" wheel on their website, that can be powder coated gray, but they go for $5000...

I think it was Al to whom I spoke at TESLIVE. He told me they wheels were several months away, not just a concept. But if Tesla's going to make them, all the better.
