So do cars destined for Melbourne also come off at Port Kembla or do they come off in Melbourne? It will but the Teslas get unloaded in PK. There are some instances where WA cars will go to Melbourne first but that’s it.

They come off at Port Kembla and then are trucked to MelbourneSo do cars destined for Melbourne also come off at Port Kembla or do they come off in Melbourne?
Thank you. They come off at Port Kembla and then are trucked to Melbourne
That's very helpful - thanksA bit more detail:
Only the items in orange represent additional items to purchase. In my case the 3-phase and J1772 outlets are not common enough for me to worry about them.
- 10A socket - use supplied UMC
- 15A socket - use supplied UMC
- 3-phase - use supplied UMC *plus additional 5-pin tail*
- AC - J1772 - *needs Type1-Type2 adaptor*
- AC - Type 2 (cabled) - cable built-in
- AC - Type 2 (socket) - *needs Type2-Type2 cable*
- AC - Tesla HPWC - cable built-in
- DC - CCS2 - cable built-in
- DC - Supercharger V2/V3 - cable built-in
Is this the same situation for cars headed to Adelaide? They come off at Port Kembla and then are trucked to Melbourne
Yeah it is. The only one that is different is WA. I am unsure if it is always different for WA though. Is this the same situation for cars headed to Adelaide?
I'm in a similar boat to you. I live in regional Tasmania, although I now have a final invoice (in the order page of my account) which shows the allocated VIN.Thanks mate, checked and no luck on VIN. Guess I d better forget it and wait
One thing to be aware of is that I've found some of the 15A sockets at caravan parks are on pillars where the supplied lead doesn't physically fit, due to the right angle plug, so a 15A caravan extension lead might be necessary if you're planning to charge at one.A bit more detail:

Really appreciate it. Is there anything that stops someone stealing the Type2-Type2 cable?A bit more detail:

Locking pin at both ends.Really appreciate it. Is there anything that stops someone stealing the Type2-Type2 cable?
and that pin can only be opened by owner? any photos to understand would be helpfulLocking pin at both ends.
In the picture below you can see the small square hole at the top of the type 2 plug, both male and female ends feature this.and that pin can only be opened by owner? any photos to understand would be helpful
It's a shame they can't offload the local Tesla deliveries in Brisbane too — I guess they're just fueling up?Morning Clara is scheduled to dock in Brisbane 28/02 1pm local time, and leave for Port Kembla 01/03 midday.
Yeah it seems mad that they stop here, then take all those cars to Sydney, only to load them onto trucks and drive them all the way back. It's a shame they can't offload the local Tesla deliveries in Brisbane too — I guess they're just fueling up?
Probably to streamline customs process and maybe reduce costs on using the ports, my guess.Yeah it seems mad that they stop here, then take all those cars to Sydney, only to load them onto trucks and drive them all the way back.
Here watch this while you wait14 days down. 12 to 18 weeks to go.
I promise not to post a countdown too often
That's true. If venturing to a route where you are dependent on these, always allow for weird situations! e.g. in the pic below (many years ago, not a Tesla), the weight of the brick part would put the plug out of the socket, unless I looped the cable over the top of the post. One thing to be aware of is that I've found some of the 15A sockets at caravan parks are on pillars where the supplied lead doesn't physically fit, due to the right angle plug, so a 15A caravan extension lead might be necessary if you're planning to charge at one.
I already am. I just paused it to order some of the things I've seen in itHere watch this while you wait
Look on the bright side, it could be like this:14 days down. 12 to 18 weeks to go.
