……Their claim was this wasn’t something mobile service could accomplish - which others here have clearly contradicted.
But I hope you know that safety score (or whether you are in it or not) has nothing to do with camera invites. Best of luck on getting it soon.98-99 safety score since last Oct. No camera invite.
I’m curious - did they realize they had the wrong parts or did you have to argue with them with the right part numbers? I’m going to be annoyed if they install the same cameras I have now because they “know better”.I finally got the final correct camera installed today. Now for FSD 10.9 to come . I received my invite on 11/8 smh
Negative. My initial appointment was a mobile service visit, and they cancelled on me 1 hour past their ETA saying only the service centers could do it. I pointed out the website saying that mobile service could do the job and asked if something had changed, and the guy on the phone simply replied "yeah" without elaborating further.Has anyone in the SF Bay Area got mobile service to perform the upgrade? My mobile service was canceled and they scheduled me to a very far away service center (Seaside). Of course when I asked them to change the service location, they simply sent me an invoice for approval... Canceled that appointment and tried to schedule another one at a nearby service center but it keeps defaulting to mobile service.
They called me to schedule to a service center and was able to pick the Santa Clara one. I'm not going to opt back into the FSD Beta until the cameras are actually upgraded. Once new cameras are in, I'm planning to opt back in Wednesday or Thursday before the next FSD roll out to quickly accumulate hundred miles at night for 100 score. Hoping this plan will work.

I wonder if the issue is technician training. Perhaps only certain SCs have been authorized by Tesla to do this or only certain ones have a tech who has been trained on this repair. We have 3 SCs in our area, but the app would only allow me to view appointments at one SC for the camera upgrade. It also did not provide the option to select Mobile Service.They just don't want to. Yes, probably camera alignment is paramount and only those mobile service teams who has these skills can perform this. I once had mobile service switch out my main tripple cam via mobile service as there was lot of dust inside and I told them I'm comfortable to activate AP with so much dust in the main cam. This was more than 2 years ago
