Nothing is quite as satisfying as waiting several months for a car to arrive, driving it for a couple of days, and then dropping it off at service for several weeks to fix all the issues they screwed up from the EOQ rush!

Wonder if it’s easier to ask what are they not fixing? What all are they fixing?
Not even from the exhaust?I'm now at 3000 miles on the odometer and still my Plaid hasn't caught fire. I drove very fast, I did a bunch of random launches, and I even went through a few affluent neighborhoods, but not even a puff of smoke.
I put about 1000 miles on it just playing around, but the photo was in the middle of a 2000 mile road trip from IL > CA. I arrived in Santa Monica last night.Holy miles… road trip(s) or just having fun ?
What all are they fixing?
Ordered April 1, stated 12_14 was now saying july-septStill October here in estimate. When ordered it said ETA September. Assuming won't see any date ranges get added until September so got a ways to go, especially with white interior which seems to be a delayed item.
you have two big past issues 19s and white. As crm 19s and 1145 Im using your date as hope for mine which is still blank haha. Hopes yours holds congrats!!
Good choice on configuration! Hope I have my car within a monthFinally found my configuration twin! Of course, I'm a lowly 11513 so probably won't learn much from your delivery. How many cars does that put between my reservation and yours roughly
You might be onto something here. The Roadster program is on radio silence, Elon said one of the reasons for canceling Plaid+ was no one needed more than 400 miles range (so then who needs 620?), engineers may not be able to design a car to significantly outperform Plaid so what’s the business case? Wouldn’t surprise me at all if it ends up as one of those concept cars the legacy manufacturers display but never produce. And seriously, if they can design the car for 250MPH, now you’re getting into hyper exotic tires that will cost as much as a Model 3.It will be like a cloud of vapor blowing right by. Oh, wait, it may actually be vapor
So MS/X was 1% of Tesla's build last quarter. The Plaid+ would have been a couple percent of the Plaid builds and it was canceled. A logical extension of that for a Roadster that would be a couple precent of the now canceled Plaid+ would lead me to believe.........................
I believe Tesla does the halo cars for press. There is no need for additional press over the next few years as there is headroom in Plaid to continue to grab headlines/eyeballs. I do not see the need for the distraction of the Roadster with its incremental (traction limited) gains over Plaid improved.
Sorry.Nothing is quite as satisfying as waiting several months for a car to arrive, driving it for a couple of days, and then dropping it off at service for several weeks to fix all the issues they screwed up from the EOQ rush!

- Replace drivers seat due to wrinkled upholstery
- Adjust window trim pieces that don't align and hood height that is sitting low on one side.
- Adjust driver side door handle that has uneven spacing and rubs when retracting
- Fix charge port cover that doesn't close completely
- Send to body shop to clear coat the rear drivers side door that was dull, scratched and had no clear coat.
- I also asked for the body shop to fix a fisheye on the rear hatch next to the license plate, but I was told it would require a new color coat that would need to be blended into adjacent panels. My detail shop recommended I just live with the paint defect because the body shop would probably just make things worse.
This makes me very happy. Same config except no FSD and with RN114469.[Crossing posting here]
Looks like scads of updates this morning, including me!
I now have July 11-18. Not putting too much stock in it since there's no VIN but it was definitely thrilling to see the narrowest delivery range yet! And I just got word I'll be teaching my summer section at UCLA Anderson so the 21" upgrade is now paid for ;-)
LR MSM/Black 21" FSD Ordered 3/19 - RN11468 (EDD History: 4-11 Weeks --> June 1-30 ---> August --> Blank --> JULY 11-18)
well if thats the case, be careful not to speak as an expert on something you don't have time to research, and maybe one day, if you work hard enough, your business will afford you the time to do other fun things like mine hasCan't say I'm a geek on radar detectors but I have been using them since I started driving 36 years ago; I've had a few dude. Used to do a lot of research before buying until I got to the V1 & the Escort Max 360 (my last 2 radar/laser detectors), so no I'm not out there testing 10 at a time since I run my own company...don't have time to geek out about them like some of you guys do I guess.
My thought exactly. If it were near EOQ that’s a definite possibility. Less likely given they have twelve weeks to get through whatever they have on the books. No need to piss off the people waiting six months or more by doing that if they can still pump them out by Sept 30.I just put on my tin foil conspiracy hat - I wonder if they'll start pushing out some of the newer (read, $5k more) orders than the older ones - LIFO - Last In First Out? $5k more profit...
Sad…. That you don’t know how to setup the phone key,Nothing is quite as satisfying as waiting several months for a car to arrive, driving it for a couple of days, and then dropping it off at service for several weeks to fix all the issues they screwed up from the EOQ rush!

The key to the Plaid bursting into flames is having a short hedge positionI'm now at 3000 miles on the odometer and still my Plaid hasn't caught fire. I drove very fast, I did a bunch of random launches, and I even went through a few affluent neighborhoods, but not even a puff of smoke.
Jokes aside, the car is phenomenal. This thing is the epitome of a "grand tourer". It is so smooth and predictable, and the cornering is unnaturally good. I generally use autopilot for these long drives, but the car is so good that I was hands-on driving most of the time. five-stars-would-buy-again
One side isn't bad, but the passenger side rear is misaligned badly. I don't see how it would be fixable since the panel lines up on the very top of the door, but the chrome trim is way off. I will send this pick to my service advisor and see what he says.Eek... Sorry to that hear that. Especially the charge port door and missing clear coat. Yikes. I think a lot of Tesla fans (including myself) wanted them take huge strides this go around and I don't really think that they did. Or, at least not at the end of the month obviously.
Are your rear interior door panels also misaligned? If so, did you ask about getting those fixed too?
Did you text him or email? Maybe they’ll honor your request if it’s in writing….I’ve been asking my SA to change my order over to a LR for two weeks… Now the price goes up? Not pleased.
