Nice. Unless the new 22-speaker 920W Tesla audio system is somehow inferior to the audio system of the previous 2020 MS P, I think it should be quite adequate for most people. I had a phenomenal 15-speaker 825W Meridian audio system in my previous Jag I-Pace HSE EV and it was the best oem car audio system I've ever heard and had in a car...loved it. People here on TMC who already have their MS Plaids say the new 920W Tesla audio system w/ noise cancellation is also excellent; I'm a bit surprised you say you needed another powered subwoofer but hey, you must have a very discerning ear I guess and to each, his/her own. Cheers!

btw -- gotta give you a little poke on your V1 radar detector...I had one for years and loved it but geez, Valentine's design is so outdated...it just looks like it's from the 1980's...and I suppose it is 😜 ; the guy has hardly changed the design of it since although the internals are awesome. I've been using a 2019 Escort Max 360 for a couple years now and it's excellent...not quite as accurate as the V1 and a bit large and heavy (although the suction cup design is very good and stays up on the windshield 99% of the time although I usually slide the radar detector off the bracket when parked in direct, hot S FL sun these days)...but it looks like a more modern design and functions fairly well with the arrows and early alerts.
Ah talking like someone who knows nothing about radar detectors lol

and not to say the escort is trash but the uniden is bigger than the v1g2 and took some design liberties from it. The new g2 is smaller and sleek, well built, and the R7 is really the only thing that is a viable contender. The v1g2 is a fantastic RD

I understand it's fairly simple to remove and takes a few minutes for anyone to do, but seriously, I do not understand why all Tesla Service Ctr's refuse to do this after we spend > $100k (and some of us > $146k) on a vehicle that has that stupid front plate holder in a state that does not require it? I mean they can fix just about anything on any Tesla vehicle BUT won't remove the front license plate holder? Really...WTF??? Again, not one to complain much anymore about Tesla (as a company and its policies and business practices) but this is simply PISS POOR Customer Service! 🤬 Can anyone imagine a MB or Porsche dealership saying, "um sorry, no we don't do that; you'll just have to get on your hands and knees and rip it off yourself sir"...to the 74 year old who just spent $180k on his Porsche 911T or MB S63 AMG. Yeah, um, no, I don't think so!
They’re probably not supposed to remove it because, if I recall correctly, the front plate holder was added to meet a regulation that the bumper had to extend beyond the hood by a certain length.

Can't say I'm a geek on radar detectors but I have been using them since I started driving 36 years ago; I've had a few dude. Used to do a lot of research before buying until I got to the V1 & the Escort Max 360 (my last 2 radar/laser detectors), so no I'm not out there testing 10 at a time since I run my own company...don't have time to geek out about them like some of you guys do I guess. 🤔

Whelp I got a VIN about 9 days ago and the initial delivery date was June 16-20 at the time. Now every day it increments by one, up to June 22-26 now. SA just replied via email 21-25 yesterday... but that's what the website said yesterday.

May have to cancel if I don't get the car by August 21st, loan check expires at that point and going from confirmed June 28th delivery date to this is making me feel rather disappointed. Model S 75d is still killing it, although I wanted to get on that FSD bandwagon before the price goes up again.

Wait. Don’t rush until you get to 2-3 days prior to a concrete delivery date. Congratulations!

Great to see more specific date range matching with typical schedule post VIN assignment. Will keep fingers crossed for now and pull the trigger 3 days prior the delivery schedule date.

I would say hold tight.. what's your configuration? Once the VIN is assigned, typical schedule for delivery is 2-3 weeks. Most of the time 2 weeks. Ask your SA to confirm the current location of the car.. like whether it's still in production line, ready to load into truck, in transit etc. VIN gets assigned typically from start to 50% of the production process.

if you cancel, you'll pay $5k more for the MSLR if you change your mind So in reality FSD just went from $10k to $15k. Hang on to that reservation, it'll be worth it.

Configuration is Plaid Blue/Black/Wood with 21 inch wheels. Vin suggests it's been built already as the fourth last digit is 3. I'll see if I can figure out my signature. I'm new here.

Thanks, I'm holding tight for now but I don't think it should take 2-3 weeks to ship the car across the country, seems like maybe it's one of those just sitting in the lot for months. Maybe I'm wrong though I'll ask my SA.

Got you. I agree that it'll not take weeks to get the care shipped out across country... If you had placed Plaid order in June, they might have tried to push as many as possible in EOQ rush. It's quite possible that you missed the bus and just waiting on final stuff to get the car ready to load into the truck for transport. Considering that we are seeing more LRs getting VIN assigned, you would definitely get it in near future. See if you can get hold of another SA to check the status for you. Once VIN is assigned, they should be able to tell where the car is in the process of production.

Can someone help me understand the interpretation of last four digits in VIN?

According to this the last 5 are the serial number: TeslaTap Vin Decoder
