And question #2 for all you fine Tesla peeps. More like an observation. Its about expected range. I have a 3 week old MS LR. My commute isn't very long and I charge at home so I really have zero range anxiety. Ive noticed that the range in miles doesn't match the real range. I get it. I have climate, radio, head lights, sentry (turned off at home and work) and whatever else this awesome car needs to work. So that certainly eats into the displayed range. But yesterday I had a wedding to go to that was about 40 miles away. So figure 80 miles total. The day began around 1:00 and i didn't get home till about 11:00PM. I started with about 330 miles if i remember correctly. I decided to charge it to 85% instead of my normal 80%. When I got home my display said I had 195 miles left. So 80 miles of mello driving (family was with me) and a bunch of hours of it sitting during the reception, used up 135 miles of estimated range? How do you all feel about that? Normal?
 
Hello all. Can you guys share what interior cleaner you are using? What I have tried so far on my MS LR with black interior leaves dark streaks even when it dries. Now perhaps I'm not spending 3 hours making sure i have a perfect even application of cleaner on every surface. No, I'm a normal person who just wants to spray something on a micro fiber, wipe it and be done. LOL. The first time I washed my car I used Armor All on the inside. Big mistake as it left dark streaks and patches everywhere. I thought this look would just go away as it dried. But it didn't. So I did some research and saw that many Tesla owners found that "CAR GUYS SUPER CLEANER" works great. So I ordered it and tried it. It was much better that Armor All but the CAR GUYS stuff STILL left dark patches and streaks as if it needed to dry more. The only way to get rid of the look it to spray more on and wipe it more and hope it looks even with no dark areas. Its kinda frustrating and much more effort. Gotta be better way.

Scarce in CA this year, but per the OM, good old Dihydrogen Monoxide works well. Best you blow out the interior and lightly dust with damp MF. I like to use distilled.

I tried a expensive interior cleaners, they left streaks in black panels. Cleaned it up with Meguiars Final Inspection.

Hard to find, had to go to Hazard Frought. Head for the moving dollies, turn left until you hit the wall.

You have a pack that is 96% of new. I'd stop reading here and set your energy from miles to percent and forget about it.

Navigate to a destination, and the car will tell you when you need to charge.

No difference in how to assess the consumption and range and battery health on the refresh as compared to thousands of post here on all Tesla's.

How much energy did you use on the trip meter? Divide that by the miles traveled. Note that range is calculated based on the EPA constant assuming 55% highway.

Pure highway driving will be worse.

Any climate at all, even more so.

I have been researching this as well. All of the "protectants" have the problem with leaving streaks. You just gotta wipe it down evenly and well. It's not that hard, but needs a little more attention than cleaning. That is why I try to use something that is not a combo clean/protectant, but rather, just a cleaner. This way, I can easily clean the car, and only periodically use a protectant. And, when I do I use something that is not glossy like Armor all (great for tires though).

For cleaners, my research tells me that, yes baby wipes (great for cleaning on the fly), but for regular cleaning either Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner, or 303 Cleaner
For protectant, the #1 recommendation on this forums has been 303 Protectant

Gtechniq triclean… smells all chemically clean and fresh too.
 
Did you get a chance to see if any of the VINs were ‘NF’?
Have we seen any Ns across all of Tesla’s models?

I wonder what the decision criteria are for making the switch in model years given that the car itself (I assume) is unlikely to change between now and January and the software is versioned separately. Does anybody know how this works?
 
I asked via online chat about my no EDD, and they sent this non response. I followed up with it would be nice to have a general idea, crickets…..

The VIN assignment process is system-generated and you will be notified via text message as soon as your vehicle is ready to be scheduled for your delivery appointment. Thank you for your patience as no further action is needed at this time. Have you thought about going Solar and powering your car with the sun?

No way...too many crickets on the Tesla Solar side...
 
Tesla solar sucks lol, backed up for ages on their Tesla Wall batteries and they won't install panels on a tile roof, while there's 100s of other installers who have came up with ways to safety and securely install on tile roofs. So much for innovation. It's pretty much get solar roof or they don't really care about your project.

The only way that you'll get the range shown on your screen is if you drive it under the EXACT EPA conditions for the stated range; you must drive it on a completely flat surface, atmospheric temperature must be exactly what the EPA tested it at, the elevation, your speed, etc. ANY deviation from those will result in you not achieving the "rated" range.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but if you want to, you can look up the exact conditions that the EPA tested under. And if you drive exactly the way they did, you'll get the "rated" range.

No 2022 VINs seen anywhere yet.
No one really how it works, but the last 2 years showed a VIN turnover around Oct 1. Previous years were strictly based on calendar year build date.

You can cheat by driving to a store like Costco at a higher elevation, loading it up with say 250 lbs of groceries. Decreased by consumption by like 10%.

Or you can just stop worrying about the battery and love the BMS...
