Is anybody running 315s for the rears? The OEM size Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295/30/21 are backordered with a long wait. I need both rears replaced and the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 315/30/21 are available now. I have Signature SV104 wheels and Jamie @SignatureSales says they will fit.

Any problems with this size? I have ordered these and have a couple days to cancel if there are issues.

You can always do 305’s but if Jamie says 315’s will work then you’re good to go. He is the wheel whisperer!

Got a text from Tesla to schedule the delivery.
Clicked on the link and none of the days and times are available. I chose every single time on every day they have on there and keep getting the this appointment time is no longer available message

Ok. Guess I’ll wait for them to call
Any text I got I texted back to. Seemed to work fine.

I would not wait. Call the nearest store if you do not have a S/A assigned.

Since calling nearest stores automatically gets you in touch with a Nationwide Sales Specialist, that may be of no help and would only delay a resolution.
I’d just drive to the store where the delivery is supposed to go to and get it sorted there in-person asap.

I would have preferred the 305s but they are not available in 305/30/21. I definitely believe Jamie that the 315s will fit. He indeed seems to be the wheel whisperer. I'm just checking to see if any other issues were noticed by anyone else who has tried them. Especially since they are at the limit of a 10.5" wheel.

posts pics of the 315 when mounted. Bet it will look sick!

I'll definitely post pics. Hope to have them mounted Monday.

I'll also be doing more 0-60 runs to see if the larger tire helps with launch grip. My previous best Dragy times were 2.05 (1 ft rollout) on the street. Fingers crossed for <2.00. Will post those results too.

Lastly I'll be resetting one trip log to see how my average Wh/mi changes. Currently I'm at 320 Wh/mi average for over 11k miles.

Congrats man!!!! Hope you enjoy it :D

Almost 1 month in for me! My biggest complaint is my seat started squeaking during bumps or movements.....

Anyone got that issue and have a fix?
Re: seat - I have a refresh 2.0, started hearing something kinda like that from under the passenger seat. I moved the passenger seat all the way forward and found that there is a bit of plastic on a vent there that was occasionally rubbing against some other plastic. I put a small bit of felt to line the plastic and it took care of it. I hope you have the same issue and this gets resolved for you.

Musky is already blocking companies he doesn’t like on Twitter. I sure hope he doesn’t start blocking our legitimate complaints about the service, quality, etc, etc issues of the model s. 😩

My biggest reticence about ownership now isn't the "gates", poor CS, EDD, or car issues, it's the man in charge.

The very best scenario is he is endlessly distracted with the new ventures and will pay even less attention to the "Dessert" cars, MX/MS.

My car showed up 2 days early. Well worth the wait!! Thank you to everyone who taught me and kept me positive through the wait. Missing trunk bottom, plate holder, and mats. No QA issues at all. (Shocked)

Chris, I am SOO pleased for you, congrats! I am still adjusting to yoke and to no stalks. although I have progressed from “this sucks” to "which steering wheel replacement should i get." Im also finding brake regen really hard to control. I'm sure i will get better at it, but it seems very binary and with a narrow engagement point (like a racing clutch and a superlight flywheel. I know model 3 (and y?) used to have 2 diff regen modes; it seems like if i can choose 3 drive modes, i should be able to do the same with regen severity. I also have a call in to test drive a Tacan 4S in Tysons shortly and signed up for BMW i4/iX drive event on the 14th of May.

In terms of car, it came with Conti All Seasons (fine with me) and had a number of fit/trim issues 1) Door weatherstripping, Rear seat bench not clipped in place, Frunk REALLY hard to close. I have a service appt on the 4th so hopefully all will be rectified. Only other observation is that visibility is pretty bad out the back (except for rear camera) and damn this car is quick!

He blocked me for calling him out on how rarely the mobile chargers are ever used. Even if you were out of charge, you would have to wait hours just to get enough charge to take it to the nearest supercharger or high-powered charger; at which point, you may as well get it towed to get it charged. It is a rare rare rare rare rare case. Who buys an EV only to charge it at work? It's like using other people's wifi instead of having wifi at home; YES!!!! I actually know people that do this and it boggles my brain. They can afford a car that is $100,000 but try to save a few bucks by going out of their way to charge it for free elsewhere. I agree with Tesla, the numbers do not justify giving this thing away that almost NOBODY will use for free. Shoot, had I known, I would have kept mine when I sold my leased Model X for-profit and donated it to someone crying about it for free and they pay the shipping charges. I have NEVER seen someone use it except in extremely rare cases. And saying you charge at work; says you are an extreme case; plus many places have actual EV chargers in the workplace which means the mobile charger wouldn't get used anyway; you would only need the FREEEEEEEE adapter that comes with the car.
It's like a tire kit, or a first aid kit. You might never use it. Sure, you could have Roadside come and bail you out, or wait for an ambulance.

But if you are in a situation that requires it, easy to find a L1 or L2 charger.

Plus in cold climes, many hotels have a 5-20 outlet for keeping ICE engines warm. Would you like to have that to keep the pack warm?

I hope you get all your issues resolved. Ive only found 1 issue, 1 scratch on the wood dash. it’s really small and not really noticeable so I’ll give it a pass.

The yoke, regen, and car overall i got accustomed too very quickly, though it’s only been day 2. When driving the first thing that comes to mind is it all comes naturally. The yoke just works, I’ve caught air a few times on turns but that’s just from using a wheel for years. The regen does take a learning curve, but I’m getting there. I’m loving the car, my wife laughs and smiles anytime she punches it. It’s an amazing car and I’m a satisfied new customer. Good luck to all those still waiting. It’s soooo worth the wait!
