Wiki Model S Delivery Update

If you mean 20 days since confirmation, give it a little bit more time. My DS initially told me me that he expected delivery by the second week of August.

If I'm not in production by Wednesday I'll definitely be following up w/ my DS again... I've only been told production is "Early August", but I'm really hoping to take delivery in the second week of August as otherwise very difficult with the school semester kicking off :-/ And definitely rules out a factory tour during the week while it's operating.

But Wednesday will be day 29 from getting VIN # and that's 2 standard deviations from the mean for US/factory pickups for 60-75D models to go into production. At that point really think there is some factor keeping me from production that I wish they'd communicate so I could plan accordingly. I also have 3 friends I need to communicate early enough on the delivery date so they can take off work/plan accordingly as well.

Not sure if it is on the spreadsheet, but how accurate is the "Vehicle to be delivered on or about" date on the final MVPA?

Any experience here on that date versus what is on the website?
So, I just called my pick up site in NOVA and was able to setup an appointment to get the car. Woooootttttttt!!!!! They said it is scheduled to arrive TODAY!! They need a couple of days to prep it. I'm all set for Friday at 4pm.

Side note, I did confirm that I am all paid up and all that is needed is my signature and proof of insurance. I already uploaded the policy, but she specifically said I need to have the card indicatong the car is covered. I'm not totally sure thats true. I think you just need to have proof of insurance. The car should be covered for (I think) 5 days after driving off lot. In any event, I will have that card.

Second side note.... My final MVPA said delivery august 3rd. So, I'd say it's pretty accurate.

EDIT: spoke with my insurance guy. He said he has helped 5 other clients get a Tesla. All required proof of coverage for that specific car before they were allowed to leave the lot. Apparently, it's a Tesla specific thing.

My DS wrote this morning and scheduled me for delivery for this Thursday.
I'd be ecstatic, except my refinance isn't done yet (closing docs signed tomorrow morning) and I still need to talk to Alliant. So I'm pretty anxious.

Keep me posted with how things go with Alliant. I'm in a similar situation from a timing standpoint and want to know how much time it will take Alliant from the time I call until the loan is ready...

For me, the loan was ready in less then 48 hrs and the balance was paid immediately by them. Maybe 2 days after I spoke with them and agreed to terms I checked my Tesla page. The balance was zero.

Well, for your sake... I hope I'm wrong too. Then again, maybe going on vacation a day or 2 after you got your car would be a terrible idea. You'd miss her too much. Anddddddd, coming home from vacay always sucks..... Unless you have a brand new Tesla to pick up the day after you get back ;)

For anyone who has picked up from the factory, did your my Tesla page change from "in transit" to something else before being ready for delivery? Getting greedy as I'm scheduled for Friday pick-up but there is a chance for Wed pick-up if the car finishes inspection & detail tomorrow.

My closing and disbursement days are the same: tomorrow. Not sure how this works with the 3 day right of rescission.
Anyway, I think I will give Alliant a call tomorrow after signing and my handing over the certified check for closing funds.

I'm not picking up at the factory but mine did switch from "In Transit" to "Production Complete" and has this message when you click through: "Your Model S is undergoing final inspection, detail, and charging in preparation for delivery. To prepare you for the delivery of your vehicle, walk through videos are available to view. If you have questions, please contact your delivery specialist."

I am picking up today at noon.

AND just like that I have a delivery date. Aug 13th in Orlando less than 2 months from clicking the order button on 6/21. Pretty impressed for a custom built car...
Now to try and contain my excitement for 11 days.

EDIT: My tesla still shows Aug 14-28th, I received the delivery date from my DS. First time she ever actually emailed me back....
