75d. Ordered 8/10, confirmed 8/13

Just heard back from my DS. According to the tesla "data" my car won't be on the ground till second week of October. But he thinks based on my ordering date he is still hopeful for end of september but doesn't want to set expectations. This from the team that when I ordered in august guaranteed September delivery. We shall see.

But he doesn't know what the October rate will be and I don't know what I will do if it stays as an October delivery. trying to stay optimistic but looking bleak.
That makes me worried I am in the same boat as you...pretty much same order dates and on top of that sold my wife's car as i got a good offer and managing with one right now...she is not going to like this!

What are our choices if having second thoughts? Can you transfer the 2500 to a model 3 order?(stepfather waiting on that?). Can you hold the 2500 for a car at a later date?

I’m not sure if I should feel better or worse reading about everyone else’s poor experiences. My estimated delivery is Sept 3rd - 10th, I’m still waiting on my trade-in estimate, mvpa, wire transfer info, and delivery appointment. No response to VMs, cell phone calls, or emails for my DS.

Good luck with that. He was assigned as my delivery specialist and I have hardly heard from him. I was able to set up my delivery date with him a couple of weeks ago and he said he would get all the paperwork together and email me the final details (MVPA). Haven't heard a word since and tried emailing him and got automated response that he's out of office until 9/10. Well my delivery is tomorrow 9/7 at 10am! Here we are 12 hours before delivery and I still don't have MVPA. I've also had 3 different delivery specialists since I ordered car two months ago. Communication has been absolutely terrible. When I call the local Tesla service center no one ever answers the phone. It hasn't been a very good experience so far. Hopefully I get my car in the morning. Wish me luck!

Let us know how delivery went! we are rooting for you! hope it makes all the painful waiting worth it. Im still in the painful wait, myself.

If its Bryan A. don't hold your breath. Im in Louisiana and got assigned a Texas DS, (Bryan A). He was useless. I asked for a new DS, and while communication is still poor, at least it exists.

Just sign for my loan, trade in approved, received my MVPA. The guys at the Westmont store in IL have been doing a great job communicating during the whole painful wait.
I take delivery this Saturday, and we are all set. I high hopes the great experience continues.

I'm not posting this to "rub" it in to anyone going through struggles of getting their calls returned. I know how frustrating that can be, but I feel since we have read a lot of negative post which are usually more prevalent, I would post about the employees who have done a great job too.

Doug is/was my OA and Collin is/was my DS. Both have done an amazing job.

When was your order confirmed? What car did you get?

I'm set to pickup at Westmont too. Apparently mine is still on a train.

And when did they start to schedule pickup with you? I'm curious if they do it a few days beforehand (no problem for me) or 1 week or so?

Took delivery today!!! Came down to the wire, but by the time I arrived at service center they had all the paperwork ready and the MVPA to look over. Gave me a walk through of car and then signed paperwork and on my way. Communications leading up to delivery were poor at best, but delivery process was great and the car is amazing!!! Been waiting for this day for 6 years! It was worth the wait! And for those that are curious my car entered production Aug. 10th and does not have air suspension or APH3. It does have the new backseat though. Also BTX5 and 350v battery. New drive unit.

Here's a timeline of how the process has gone for me so far. I'm taking delivery in a few days!
  • 07/29 Ordered
  • 08/02 Order confirmed
  • 08/02 Received VIN
  • 08/02 Received automated email reminding me to complete payment details, trade-in, registration, driver's license, insurance. Was told by my OA on 07/29 not to do payment, already did my initial trade-in quote, and couldn't do registration and driver's license until registration was ready -- I emailed my DS to verify I shouldn't do the things this automated email was telling me to do and received no response.
  • 08/04 Emailed back and forth a few tiems with my OA asking various questions. Received prompt replies (within a couple hours of each email).
  • 08/09 Received another automated email telling me that I haven't fully filled out my profile. Replied again verifying that I shouldn't worry about the email and to wait until I hear that I'm within 30 days of delivery. No response.
  • 08/15 I wanted to make sure my DS actually existed, so I emailed my OA expressing disappointment with not getting responses from my DS and I received a call 30 minutes later from my DS. He told me that yes, I shouldn't do those things that the automated emails were telling me to do, and that replied to the automated emails were being filtered and not being answered due to the volume of emails they generate (!?) to the DS's.
  • 08/26 DS informed me car is in production
  • 09/02 DS informed me car is in quality check, not sure if car will travel by truck or train
  • 09/05 Production complete
  • 09/05 DS informed me car will travel by truck, transit started
  • 09/07 Car arrived! - undergoing delivery preparation
  • Delivery is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 09/12 due to full schedules, but may be moved up if it becomes possible.

Takeways from the process:

It's probably best to communicate with your OA intially until your car goes into production. You will likely get a quicker answer. If you want to attempt to communicate with your DS before production, don't ever reply to one of the automated emails.

Near production start, the DS started proactively contacted me at each stage of progress.

Note that the Estimated Delivery Range when production starts could be way off when you actually will take delivery (you may get it way sooner). For example, my initial delivery range was 09/24 - 10/08, then changed to 09/12 - 09/26, then finally to 09/11 - 09/18, and I might take delivery sooner than 09/11.

Ordered it from home.

Hopefully you are right about extending beyond Sep 30th.
I was approved for .99% on 9/4 but it said I must take delivery by 9/30 which I was told is possible. I currently plan to fly to San Jose (I am in LA) to pick up the car if needed to get the rate. If they extend I might consider waiting a day or so.

My email approval had this exact wording:
*Note: Loan offers are valid for 30 days and rate is valid for deliveries prior to 10/1.

Well to everyone who's been following me, I contacted my DS today and she said it finally left the factory. She feels like the car will be ready by Tuesday 9/13, so we scheduled a tentative.
Ordered 7/10. Conf 7/13. Start prod 8/17. Finish prod 9/3. Shipped 9/7.
Ordered model s 75 black with prem, AP 2.5, FSD. Picking up from Costa Mesa office.

Any chance you can post some pics of the new back seats? Curious what they look like (aside from the stock photos on the Tesla order page)

No, mine is out of state. I ended up driving to the gallery and working with my OA who was very helpful and got my delivery scheduled and got everything setup. Still nothing from DS.

How the heck did your car get delivered in two days? Lucky.

It's been two weeks since mine was out of production and still in transit...somewhere...
