I was thinking the same about the possibility of the day before my window for delivery from what others are posting here.

The trip is a annual conference to DC to lobby Congress/Senate for my business interests. I did extend the trip one day to go to a Nats/Mets ballgame with family down there.

But I am sure my mind will be in Tesla Land for the trip if my delivery is the beginning of the window.

I might have to make a pre-delivery trip to the NJ Distribution/Service center in Springfield the day before my trip if the car is there.

You may want to see if you can reschedule your trip as I have seen it is common to get delivery the day before the delivery window.

Lots of Model Ses ready for delivery today at Rockville Service Center. I still have 11 more days till mine, but had to stop while driving by.

Picked up my car at the factory on 5/10. Had a hour long tour of the factory. It was quite incredible seeing the new robots they have put on the assembly line. Reminded me of skynet. Followed the path of creation of the car, from the rolls of aluminum coming in to its molding into what becomes a model s. The plant is massive. I am really surprised they did not install solar panels on the roof. Had a chance to meet some folks also picking up their car - including one who found out that their car was not ready, and they gave her a loan - to drive back to Florida !

The car drives like a dream, every bit as expected. A few things I am trying to adjust to: Firstly the size: I am upgrading from a prius, and that is different in every way from the Tesla. I am trying to be extra careful parking. (works in my favor: wife has decided she does not want to drive it because she is worried about its size
Second, the windshield distortion is a blot on my experience. It is really annoying. The bottom inch or two warps pretty badly, and it is hard to avoid seeing that. Finally, the voice recognition is mostly a waste for me. Maybe my vestigial indian accent.

Juice - Had Steve, my friendly electrician, hook up a 50A/240V circuit for me. I asked him to add an outlet both outside the house and inside, so I can charge if I leave the car outside (or have someone with an electric car stop by). I was surprised that the iOS app does not allow me to set the time of charging - that has to be done incar.

I have not changed my electricity rates. I am thinking of E-9/A (CA) - your thoughts would be welcome.

I chose not to take the roof option, and have no regrets. Every single previous car I've had had one, and I have rarely, if ever, actually used it.

Like many (most?) of us, this is by far the most expensive car I have every purchased. My previous most expensive one was a 5 series, which was about 60% the cost of this. I intend to hang on to this for a long time. I do not see the thrill of driving this going away anytime soon.

Hallelujah! My MS is on the way!!!!

The wait is just about over. Just got the last of the paperwork from Tesla! Just FedEX'd in the $74,520 Check and my final papers. They will have that Monday, and as soon as they get that, I can get a delivery date!!!
Hopefully Tuesday-Thursday next week!
I was hoping to get it today (Saturday), as I was invited to Automotion with it (one of the biggest car shows in Wisconsin, takes up the entire parking lot of the USA's biggest waterpark, Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells).

But that is not going to happen

Next year I guess.

So excited!!!

Oh, and I must thank the people that made getting this awesome vehicle possible. Tesla of course and all their dedicated employees, PenFED for their no questions asked financing at a awesome low rate, and finally, Potowatami Casino...Without their continuing "charitable donations" to my bank account, I would not be able to afford the vehicle (I go 3-4x/week, and have not lost in over 3 months).

My MS 60Kw just rolled off the car hauler! All I can say is WOW. I test drove a performance, though, after driving the 60KW, the Performance is not necessary. And the official 0-60 times, are very consertive. The official times might be accurate for 0-80 @_@

My MS is on the street right now, yes, their is a crowd around it.

I have begun shooting a 15-20 part video going over the entire vehicle top to bottom, will post link to it when done.

Congrats! I too have a 60 and think it's insanely fast and am totally in love! I wonder if you'll actually finish all 15-20 videos once you start driving non-stop. Interestingly, where I live, a couple of people have said nice car, but it doesn't draw much attention (fine with me) even though there aren't many around.
