Yeah in that case the Taycan is heavier by roughly 300 pounds. It still is not all about power though. I'm thinking the torque vectoring is doing wonders with the Plaid.

Exactly. It takes more than just raw power to beat any car around the track, especially a Porsche.
The biggest benefit of refresh 1.0 is the radar. Better AP and higher top speed on AP.
I'm under the impression that even if you have radar it is no longer being used.

For those asking about VIN assignments, I first noticed my Plaid VIN in the website source code around March 7th (might have been there earlier) but it didn't show up officially in the app until March 16th, which is one week before my scheduled delivery date. I got my delivery date before the VIN showed up in the app.

RADAR use is going away on 1.0 refresh. No question, - just like it did on the 3/Y.
Gotta love QC at Tesla factory. I discovered my 3 day old car had a loose driver door panel (was wondering why it was rattling). Disassembled the door panel and found it was only held by 2 out of the 4 screws that are supposed to be there.
At least the door panel is not rattling now...

Yeah, I wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't because I am an hour away from service center and mobile tech cannot come until 3/31.

They asked if I wanted to take delivery earlier yesterday at 4pm but ended up sending another message saying it’s not quite ready for it’s final inspection yet. Hope it’s not something bad.
Isn't the radar going to be software limited soon?
