Model S range and interior update imminent?

I have exactly 11 months left on my current S lease. Anyone think Tesla will take it back? I don't mind a penalty, as long as it is not too horrible.

I think they cancel it. I think that's why it's called "Long Range" not "Long Range+" - just like people with a 7-seat Performance Y order, they just say "Not available - place a new order". None of the existing Performance or LR+ orders are valid anymore because of the name change. Sneaky but "valid".

I think the steering wheel looks cool, and I can definitely get immediately used to it for highway driving. I am not sure so much about sharp turns/3-point turns/etc. Maybe it will all work out. To be honest, I don't care, as long as I can get this car parked in my driveway as soon as possible.

The track is definitely wider. You'll definitely want to PPF this car from rocks and chips now, as the wheels stick out more than before.

Wow, they did a good job keeping this under wraps. Can't say I'm a fan of the steering wheel, but otherwise looks great. Good blend of more recent design direction with classic S attributes. Exciting, and I'm not even looking to buy one

I like the bumper mostly, although I hope the Plaid+ has the bigger scoops for ventilation/brake cooling. I don't really care for the protrusion in the chin along the center - seems out of place.

So apparently turn signals and lights are handled by buttons on the wheel? Still not sure how shifting gears works. If it’s touch screen, then I’m probably going to pass. Having to constantly hit a button on a touch screen while doing a three point turn or parallel parking or exiting from a parallel parking spot would probably drive me nuts. Barring a massive improvement in the capability and speed of Tesla’s auto park system as well as a massive improvement in their FSD, this just seems like a horrible idea.

Car will park itself. Because autopark is reliable..............

Maybe you pull the yoke toward you for drive and push forward for reverse

Buttons on a steering wheel would possibly make trying to signal in the middle of a turn or a roundabout more unwieldy, too. Like I’ve said before, I need to really test this out to see if I can live with it. For now, leaning no, but open to being proven wrong via a test drive.

What is a swapalease? I imagine I get someone to take over my lease? How would I go about doing that? Seems complicated
