If I recall right, the indicators worked fine if idiosyncratically. But they didn't have self cancelling. So the antithesis of a BMW driver - too much signalling.

It could kill the brand if they do. I know there are plenty who like the idea, but here are also many many who will go for a drive and go “this is rubbish”, just like many were out off by parking sensors. Tesla could do with being boring on a few things IMHO, and do some basics right

I know, I didn't and still don't understand the plug for Richard symonds video, without saying which one. We certainly don't need to see a video to tell us what we already know and covered extensively on the site already. And Richard Symonds sadly is often wrong.

I can live with gear selector buttons/touchscreen although I’d prefer not to - especially when reversing to park where you might need a few changes in quick succession and hands on stalk is just easier without looking.

I honestly think indicators on the steering wheel would be a dealbreaker for me and force me to look elsewhere. I’m too engrained with a stalk for that.

The lack of gear selector means any kind of manoeuvre becomes a pain in the arse. Imagine having to shuffle in of a tight parking spot or a 5 point turn. No thanks.

You can select the correct gear by swiping the sidebar that appears on the screen or you can use the backup system on the centre console. It just gives you a nice arm workout!
