DAB Radio? I've googled the question but does anyone know if the 3 has digital radio standard in Aus. SR+ ? I've asked Tesla Au but no response. I love DAB radio and kinda expecting it for $70k car....
Neither Model S or X have DAB+. Tune in works really well and most if not all local radio stations are available through Tune In.

Putting together some possible Timelines for these Demo vehicles. I could be out here for sure, bur fun to speculate. I might have guessed the demos all left at once. It is possible the Auckland ones also have travelled on the Merkur Ocean, and i t took a while to clear customs.

Vins Registered US 11 May

Sydney Model 3s
Manufactured somewhere between 11 May and June 9
Transport to Oakland - Between June 10 and 16
Load on to Merkur Ocean - June 16
Arrive Sydney Friday July 12
Clear Customs - July 17 and go to store

Auckland Model 3s
Manufactured somewhere between 11 May and June 14
Transport to Oakland - Between June 15 and 21
Load on to Melina - June 22
Arrive Auckland July 17
Clear Customs - July 23 and go to store

Also ANL Tongala just arrived in Auckland this morning, so the 3s could have been on this ship but it would mean a super fast unload and clearance.

Has anyone asked their tesla delivery specialist if their car has left the factory yet? It may yield a surprisingly more accurate result if you know the status.

So it looks like if we are going to get our cars by the end of August they almost have be on a ship already.

4 Candidates

ANL Tongala Sydney July 27 Arrived Auckland
Seoul Express Sydney Aug 9 Departed Long Beach
Cap Capricorn Sydney Aug 16 At Long Beach anchorage
Kota Ekspres Sydney Aug 23 Departed Oakland. Heading to Seattle next.

Public - Google Drive Tracking spreadsheet

Any car not on a ship today will not be delivered in August to Australia, unless a RoRo ship magically appears in SFO in the next few days.

At what point would we expect to be assigned a Tesla delivery specialist?

So far the process for me has been:

Reserve online
Wait
Text saying can now configure
Configure/Order online
Email with PDF confirming order
Wait
Text asking if I want finance
Wait

Where there any particular modes you had in mind? I can only think of Snow Mode that may be useful. Mud Mode would just mean I am much further from a tow when I inevitably get stuck.

Tesla have hinted at drift mode etc, in reality they could add a massive amount of configuration.

Ability to dial in torque% on either end, slip values, drift angles, lap timers g force indicators etc

A Snow mode would be good too (other than slip mode)

Even though Track Mode is enabled on some of the base Performance models Tesla has stated that Track Mode is available when you purchase the upgrade package with the spoiler and brakes. So far from all videos I have watched the standard brakes would overheat on track very quickly. From all experience so far it is entirely likely that the Track Mode that is currently on for the base Performance car may be disabled with an over the air update like the extra features that people who bought SR without + got to enjoy for a while and then those features got disabled.
So would be best to expect not to have it. If you end up having it enjoy it while it is there but do not expect it to stay there forever.

Hi everyone,

I can't believe, in the past three and a half years, I have not signed up to this forums. Here I am, signing up yesterday because I am a bit restless to know where we are going with our deliveries. And it seems this is the one place there is most relevant chat.

Tas
A lot of people obsessing over deliveries but I don't think anyone has any real info unfortunately. I currently have a lease till March based on my predicted delivery date (I placed my reservation on day one) [Tesla's track record for delays, particularly in Australia, is pretty well established]. I still wouldn't be surprised if I'm not too far off the mark but will be pleasantly surprised if I get mine sooner.
