Perhaps I am missing something that was seen elsewhere on that page, but how do we know it was a Founders Edition vs. a Signature Edition?
The VIN was F00011

Can you clarify what you mean by this Hank? So then it should have been given + status?
Aha! That low VIN, a 2012 car, and only 8k+ miles. Wow!
Also the "F" is a dead giveaway.
At least one person was able to talk and pay Tesla into converting a P85 into a P85+ (the upgraded suspension) , but I forget the cost. Even if it were $15k now, that's $85k for a founders edition P85+ in sig red. It's very tempting!!!
Ugh...isn't that a lot for a beefier suspension? and may I ask who (or link to thread) that did such an upgrade?.....hmmm...

The VIN was F00011. F designating founders, it was the 11th official car made.
It is a lot now. If Tesla is willing to do it again, I'd guess it would cost a bit less. I'm just guessing at the original cost, I don't really remember. I also don't remember who did it -- it was before my time at TMC, but it was right after they announced the P85+. And if I'm not mistaken, this car did end up as a CPO car listed as a P85, but when the buyer got it, it was this unicorn sig-red P85+.
Nine cars all came off between 12:10am and 12:20am this morning, so I'm guessing it was an automated/bulk change by TM.
And four more came off sometime today.
I haven't seen an 85D on the site yet.
There have been two 85Ds and one 70D previously available.
