No Roads
Thanks Hank! I actually just noticed your avatar. Is that your true plate? I am not one to name cars but the Product Specialist noted that there is a name assigned to the car. I was going to go with Gigawatt. Restored a DeLorean and had it for 8 years. My avatar is the drive back from picking it up in 2003.
Yes, that is my actual license plate. And yes, I also owned a Delorean for 14 years (VIN 1619). Bought it in 2000, and sold it right before getting the Model S. (In fact, the day after I sold it, I joined TMC to start looking into getting a Model S!!). I needed the garage space, so the Delorean had to go first. I've been to every Delorean Car Show since 2000. I got the 1.21GW license plate and even kept my flux capacitor and put it into the Model S and as an homage to my Delorean:
Having owned both cars, there are A LOT of similarities. Although with the Model S, I don't get a lot of "I heard there's cocaine packed in the seats, is that true?" questions. At least not yet, anyway.
I see the total number of cars constantly dropping on ev-CPO.com at the rate of about 1-2/hr. Is it mainly because people are reserving them or is Tesla constantly pulling some of the list as well.
I would assume reserving. My car was immediately gone from Teslas site, and gone from Hanks site as soon as I refreshed a few minutes later. If you have Hanks history package you can see when it's probably Tesla removing as they seem to do a handful in bulk which the site tracks as the same removal time.
That's exactly it. I watch the constant reports, and yes, one or two (or more) get reserved every hour. When Tesla does it, it happens to take place in big batches.
