The Billings, Montana supercharger web page is now live. There isn't any link to it or a dot on the map yet. DrGuest talked to the assistant manager at the hotel there and she said it was operational.

Had she made a prettier face and the three-finger Tesla salute that could have become a very famous photo.
To be fair, that statement is true regardless of whether Superchargers are there or not :wink:

In spite of Tesla's optimistic range rings showing connectivity between Billings and Rapid City or Lusk, it does look like a single overnight with a 100% charge, and maybe a little hypemilling, will get an 85 from the Supercharger Highway waypoints of Lusk or Rapid City to Billings. Big Sky Country, here we come!

I would like to point out that 3 Months ago today (April 24th), Tesla Announced the 100th Super Charger. Three Months later 151 Super Chargers are on-line:

That is impressive growth. Imagine how many SCs are going to be available by the time the Model 3 launches. And they're going to need to build a lot more!
I also went to the Edison, NJ site on Thursday and spoke to the contractors.
A few things we found out...
The equipment was shipped to the contractors last year, and the chargers are the first design or revision. We were told they are 120's and not 135's. The work order was recently revised to install the 8 superchargers instead of the 6 as discussed at the Edison planning board meetings (Dec '13 & Jan '14). Tesla is using local contractors and at least the electrical guy we spoke to is from the local union shop (the mall/Simon Prop. might have required this (just my speculation.))
The site itself is spread out. With 2 banks of 4 supercharger pedestals/stalls separated by the small lot entrance, with the white SC cabinets by one bank of stalls. The transformer pad (and some large grey cabinets) are across the inner mall roadway about 25-35 feet away.
On a side note...the Physic/Taro Card Reader business located nearby has spruced up their building with new vinyl siding, a huge improvement from the pealing paint from before. :biggrin:
